Well, military contracts is most profitable contracts you may imagine. So what is commertial for military contracts? Did you see ever something like "our bomb are capable of this or that" during Super Bowl? I guess not, the way to promote your missiles and bombs is to build image of bad guys there for which we need big stick, which our company exactly producing and it is expensive but extremely needed.

Now who is the best candidate to being bad guys - of course good old Bad Russians. They are not commy any more (and this is why communist party is not banned or prosecuted (unfortuantely), same as in any democratic state including US) but who care? China is communists, but again who care, they produce all this things for US for cheap giving huge profit?

So I am not saying that Russians are angels, but you should understand that here many people for generations were involved in Cold War and so happy to have it back - as well as many people in Russia.

I hope the Putin is not one of them.

At least he offers to US in his last visit and meeting with Bush few months ago to use Russian Radar stations, Russian land, Russian military technology to build global antimissile defense.

On my opinion it is huge opportunity to go away from Cold Wars forever, go away from Commies forever. If Russian and American scientists, manufacturers and military will work together side by side to build and maintain global missile defense system with parts all over Europe and World including Russia soil (Putin offers to use with Americans Russian Gabala Radar Station (Azerbajan) and Arzamas Radar Station (middle of the Russia!)).

You see it will not be Americans vs Russians any more, but Americans with Russians! Same as it was during WWII and that works very well!

The fag lesbian parade was not allowed in the Russian capital. You are being naive Vassilij. I think the Americans, or at least those who rule America have totaly different plans (than cooperation with the Russia) however since the Russia still has the nukes they can only bark at the Putin how undemocratic he is, how he interfers with the free market economy and liberal democracy so it can't develop to totaly liberal and democratic degree :barf:

Trust me - Americans in general nice people, they not very educated in World Politics, bun they are good and honest. But As I sad some made fortune on Cold War so like to have it back (as well as in Russia).

But, I almost certain that this global American-European-Russian missile defense system will be build toghether. This piece will be huge! Much bigger then what can be done in Poland and Chekhia (which also have huge resistance inside and not certain yet) with Russians active resistance and Europeans passive resistance.

I mean it will be much bigger contracts for everybody and also it allows American companies to have some Russian military technologies and resources.

I hope Russian will also allow some US company to build independent pipeline fro Kazakhstan over Russia so make oilers also happy...

Rejecting this offer will look strange on my opinion. We'll see.

To invade middle eastern countries and take the oil for ourselves?

Oh wait, we did that, but screwed it up by rebuilding their infrastructure and allowing them to assign their own Oil contracts, which went to China.

What would be those plans? I think it's not that hard to guess. I would say to eliminate Russia as a major world factor and take over their natural resources.


Regarding the middle east, so you say it's not about the oil, you say it was pure samaritarian issue. Then how so the muslims hate the USA if the USA are just trying to help them?
 
Does Russia really have that much in terms of natural resources? We import more oil from Africa than anywhere else in the world, the Middle East included, these days. Unless we're scheming to steal Russia's trees and glacier water (maybe not SUCH a far-fetched idea) I doubt we're interested in their natural resources so much as worried about the economic force their population could become if pushed in the right direction (think China, here).

Many (not all!) Muslims around the world are angry with the US because we invaded a sovereign, primarily-Muslim nation (although to be fair, Iraq's pre-invasion government was non-secular, at least by Middle Eastern standards).
While I don't agree with their opinion of us, I think I can at least understand where some of the anger is coming from.
