Quartermaster knives

The only Quartermaster knife I'd ever own LOL... ;)

How much have they paid you to keep commenting all this BS? They trading you free knives? It's been a known tactic of theirs. Block those that disagree and buy off those foolish to accept.

They haven't paid me a dime, but I sure wish they would! I am not too proud to be bought off! The reason I support them is that their knives are pretty well made, their blade steel seems pretty spot on from sharpening it, and their customer service has been above and beyond, better than a lot of much bigger name companies actually.

So you don't care that they lie to you

So you'd be fine if they bought you off and don't care that they lie to you because they found a decent shop in China to make their stuff and since they don't do anything themselves they have time to answer calls/emails?

If this is really how you feel, your opinion is invalid.

Quartermaster Backstage has uploaded several clips where they do some stuff with CnC/WEDM machines on instagram -- supposedly proving that they are, indeed, making knives in the U.S. (They even have a clip where they go from outside the shop, showing some U.S cars and such, and into the shop with the CnC machines.)

Based on the comments, it sounds like people think that this is enough to prove that they are actually making knives in the U.S. What do you guys think?

Can you post the vids? for those of us not on Instagram. Sounds like a veiled attempt at saving face.

You can still watch vids with out having Instagram.

Anybody have their supposed address? Maybe I'll take a cruise by this weekend, see what's up.

I once had a Mr spicoli, on the 3rd day of owning it I accidently dropped it from my couch onto my hard wood floor (about a 2ft drop) the titanium handle cracked from this small impact which lead me to believe this was a defect. I contacted QM knives, sent pics, and they had me send it in. about a week later I received an email stating that the crack was perfectly normal and it was from the process they use to make them....WHAT? I argued my point that titanium shouldn't crack that easily and that the warranty that comes with the knife should cover any fixing that needs to be done.(at this point I was getting angry) the reply I got back was that due to my rude email I will not be contacted any more and my emails will be blocked.....Ummm Rude, all I said was that this isn't normal and that it should be fixed and that if I had a company that sold anything and had a chance to rectify a warranty issue I would.? I was not rude until the next email I sent that I hope they were able to get before they blocked me. I sold the knife for a 10th of what I paid and vowed never to get a QM knife again. They are pure garbage and shitty customer service to boot. I told them I would at every chance I get tell the word how bad of a deal there crappy weak ass knives are. (pure garbage) but if you don't believe me take a chance you "might" get what you are paying for, but I doubt it. Stick to trusted brands not these scammers.

prototyping in the states does not equate to production

if hes saying thats his shop then why cant anyone find the place?

still fishy, still mall ninja, still under fire...

said it before and Ill say it again, guy can obviously take a video and post it.. he could post a vid that left ZERO doubts in anyone mind about his production products origins. If my brand were under attack from something I could easily clear up in 5 minutes of my time, I certainly would.

That shop is not theirs. That's Detail Mold & Design in Leander Texas owned by Todd and Brenda Tatro. Qtrmstr tried geotagging the videos at their dripping springs address making it sound like it's their shop. I called their ass on it and they since removed the location tags. Nobody that follows them knows shit about anything though so people still think they've proved themselves and that it's their own shop. Interesting they're having such a simple fixed blade made here in the USA. How about some video and photo of all their folders being made inhouse like they claim? Dumbasses.

I hate this company sooooo much. I get sad every time someone spends their hard earned money on a company that laughs at their customers. Bladehq said they carry them because they sell....sad that this company would rather make a few more sales vs. carrying legit product.

I bet if enough of us file a complaint we could get them looked at by the proper authorities.

Color me shocked!!

That's hilarious.

Apparently to those on IG, my comments are void because of name calling. Never mind the facts provided, the photos, the confirmations. I've commented a few things on their recent posts, very nicely and nothing out of the ordinary, simply asking which CAM software they're using in the video they posted and asking them how they like their material supplier that was shown in one of their photos... comments deleted and account blocked. Figure if you guys actually do things yourselves like you claim you'd know what software you're showing in your videos or know what kind of mill or vice you're using in your shop photos, or know the photo of the dude you're showing setting up his mill also had a LinkedIn account with a photo of himself further proving everything I've already said.

Still somehow people say they've won, and that "the haters" are leaving because they realize they were wrong all along. No it's because they block everyone that doesn't drink the kool-aid. If you still back qtrmstr you deserve to be lied to and scammed.

So does this Jared-Claude Van Damme guy still wear eyeliner in his promo pics? :p

The late night vid that he "supposedly" shot at blade show in Vegas I think was still the best...

The unveiling of the Wikis Laser guided chopper. Too bad it's gone off of youtube.

If something substantial comes up not sourced from Facebook private eyes, I will gladly say Quartermaster done messed up. That said, their knives are actually well made, WHICH IS WHAT THIS WHOLE BLOODY THREAD WAS ABOUT. I have handled quite a few of them, and while they are in a prohibitive price bracket (I don't have $150+ for knives) I like their ridiculous designs, and they fit my hand surprisingly well, with no notable hot spots. Something tells me this will, yet again, turn right back into a haterade chugging contest, with no mention of the actual point of the thread. Amirite?

You are the Grand Arbiter who decides such things?
