This is the second thread started by the OP that he has over reacted.
Maybe before jumping in people's faces, take a breath before hitting submit. Do you think people are purposely messing with you?? They aren't.
Do a little research before asking questions and don't immediately think people are screwing with you.
Your stay here will be much more pleasant if you don't snap at opinions you get to a question you asked. Not quite sure what set you off this time, but it's becoming a habit with you.

the name 'roper' seems unfortunate to me. Wrong industry ;)
 
Well, the PM2 is a modern classic and I'd rather slam my fingers in a car door than buy anything from $.25master, so I recommend the PM2.

"Fact" is an interesting concept. It was once a "fact" that Pluto was a "planet." It was a "fact" that man was the only tool-using species. It was a "fact" that the atom was the smallest particle of matter. It was a 'fact" that no bird species had a sense of smell. Then those were not "facts" any more.


My issue with makers who demonstrate a willingness to lie or mislead is that I cannot rely on them to be honest about the materials, processes, or results they claim.

first off, idk why there are two threads. I must've submitted it twice. Secondly. People are being condescending acting like I should know better when I'm just trying to get information. And if should do my own research then what's the point of this forum? I ask questions on here because rather than get random information from people who don't know any better, I'd rather get facts from people who are familiar with the companies. And I don't think people are screwing with me. But they are being rude towards me. It's okay to call a company crap, but you have to read between the lines sometimes and understand when people are putting you down for not knowing they are crap. I'm not sure how many more times I'll have to say this...everyone seems so defensive and taking my question as a personal insult to their knowledge.

The OP is the only one calling other people names. It is not a petty argument to call qrtmaster crap. They are. And what help did you offer? I told the OP the situation (qrtrmaster is crap) and suggested he search the forum to see why. Then, when that wasn't good enough, and after being called all sorts of names, I did the search for him providing multiple links to show him why qrtrmaster is crap.

How is anyone jumping on him? By calling this lying cheating garbage company crap? We didn't say he was stupid for not knowing, did we? Simply suggested to do some research on the subject. And what great knowledge did you share? Nothing. You just came in to talk about other people, same as the OP after he didn't like being told to do some research and that the company he was looking at was crap.
 
Everyone seems to misunderstand. I own 8 Spydercos. They are my favorite brand. I have the Paramilitary 2, Manix 2, native 5, Delica 4, Techno, southard, domino, and Sage 2. I'm beyond familiar with Spyderco. It's just the other day I saw the quartermaster mr roper and noticed a few similarities between that and the pm2. Rather than just get the facts on quartermaster that you would find on their website, I was hoping people could POLITELY provide information. I wouldn't belittle any of you if you didn't know how to figure outgrow friction or tension or force effects the acceleration on any given item....so why be dicks to me because I didn't know quartermaster sucked? Just sit on an ice pack if you're so butthurt rather than treat me like I'm an idiot.

And there is your problem. Don't read between the lines, read the lines. I'm done here. If you want to read between the lines and get offended at everything then good luck to you.
 
Since this thread has become a personal insult contest, and General Knife Discussion is supposed to be about knives, I am closing it before it gets worse.
