Does acting like a douchebag in every single topic I read with your meaningless raging give your responses extra meaning? I'm entitled to state my opinion and experiences and I've bought 8 spydercos that all came razor sharp. Does the fact that I didnt buy 300 mean I cant say anything? You're frankly an idiot and a really bitter one thats always trolling. I seriously hope you're 13 years old because you sound like a emo, angry little kid. I've never seen someone get offended like you over a smiley face... Pretty pathetic. If you're actually an older gentleman then frankly I'd be ashamed of myself if I were you

OH NOEZ NOT THE SMILEY FACE TAKE COVER!!!
There is no room for this kind of language/behavior here. Please keep these kinds of posts out of the forums. This is a hostility free zone. Thanks
To the original poster:
I've purchased 5 spyderco's: a sage 1 and 2, delica, native, and a tenacious. All came shaving sharp or beyond from the factory.
I have also purchased 3 griptilians, 2 came shaving sharp (barely) from the factory, the other one was somewhat dull.
FYI I sent them both back to benchmade and they sent me two sharp knives back, and a free teeshirt. They also rebuilt both knives and lubricated them so that they felt better than any other new benchmade I have picked up. So in a sense, I sent them two new knives, and they sent back two better than new knives and a teeshirt, and refunded my shipping.
Two months later, when pulling one of the grips out of the box and EDCing it for a couple weeks I noticed that the D2 blade that it was supposed to have was marked 154cm. So I called them up. They told me they didn't sell a black coated 154cm griptilian. When I told them I was as confused as they are, they said they would talk to the knife maker and call me back...
Next day they leave a message on my voicemail telling me they apologize for the mistake, and were sending me another D2 griptilian. They explained there was no need to send the 154cm knife back, and that they would cover all the postage.
So in essence my dull griptilian turned into a free knife and a teeshirt. Beat that customer service! The only other company I know of that operates anything remotely similar is Surefire.
So to anyone bad mouthing Benchmade: You are either being dishonest or you didn't explain your problem effectively to them. They literally bend over backwards to help their customers.
FYI I think benchmades overall feel more dull than spyderco because their grinds are totally different. Also, even though some of their edges won't whittle hair out of the box, the edges last a long time before going dull.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend spyderco or benchmade to anyone. My mini grips fit and finish and overall feel is on par with my William Henry knives and my Sebenza.
I write this having spent quite a bit of money on knives since I joined BF. If I had to have just one folder, my mini grip would be a fine choice.
