Sounds great to me

Great idea. Monthly sounds great also. I think it would work better than quarterly for 2 reasons.

1. Because most people who Truely want the knife will buy it right off the bat

2. Nobody is going to buy every knife every month. So it shouldn't become a money problem for members.

Sincerely,
Adam

PS: I also second the custom knife raffle. We've got ton of makers here, I'm sure some of them would be glad to donate. I'll even donate when I get a few knives done

Good idea....but would the discount you
mentioned beat the prices of, say, Discount
Knives of the Internet or Blade Auction -
where we can buy our favorites whenever
we choose?

Let me add my voice to those who are in favor of a quarterly thing. It seems that the extra work each month for Spark and Mike would make the novelty wear off in short order for all involved. Most web dealers can`t even maintain their monthly specials page; I wouldn`t want this to become a monthly point of contention. Quarterly sounds good for starters. If there`s a huge response, maybe then try monthly.

But thanks for thinking of us, guys! I know I appreciate the special stuff the forum tries to put together for the motley crew that populates it everyday!

The price would be inline with that of most discount dealers. If we had a knife of the month priced at full MSRP I doubt our efforts would be worth it.

We are a go!

We will do it once a month at first and see how it works. We will adjust when necessary but I think having only 3 knives will have minimal effect and no one is under any obligation to buy anything. Also if the knife you wanted did not when in the survey I doubt you would want to wait 3 months for another chance at it.

So let's get the ball rolling and see what happens

Go for it, I'll see what I think of it when it's up; sounds like a popular idea...

Yawn - no objections, but you'll probably not sell me much. My disposable income is already spent before I get it, and when it does arrive I've gotta choose just one of the three on top of my list.
