Question on trade conduct

To me it sounds like nelly is rules-lawyering to escape blame on a technicality for a trade he expected the other party (Broos) might not be happy with. "Legal" or not, that's not an ethical way to conduct business, and even that aside, I firmly stand by the "It's not a done deal until both parties are happy" creed.

I think that Broos's thread here fulfills this requirement of yours. Buh-bye!!

Hopefull, no one will deal with this guy anymore. He got rid of one of the knives before he even made sure his package to Broos arrived.

It should not be caveat emptor while trading on the forums, on ebay yes, but not trading with fellow forumites.
It's just common courtesy that a trade isnt done if one of the parties is dissatisfied.
I think this guy knew exactly what he was doing from the start.

Is it not accepted that a trade is not complete until both parties are satisfied? I am dealing with a member who is refusing to reverse a trade now, and he is stating that since an inspection period was not specifically discussed by us that he is not obligated to undo the trade.

He also says he gave one of my knives I traded to him away - before he even heard from me that I received his knife.

If we cannot work this out I will be posting more detail later...

Thanks for your opinions.
Bruce

Not having read the rest of the thread, someone owes you a couple knives, period. It's not done until both sides are happy.
