I did not know him well, I did sale him a few knives.
And I got to talk to him on the phone a couple times.
He was a one of a kind, and I always enjoyed his post here.
He will be missed.....
Holger was one of the people who make these forums a really good place.
Never having met him in person, I will miss him- his posts, his helpfulness, his humor.
When I got the news this morning I was in total shock. God speed to his family and all who knew him. Just s few weeks ago at the tactical Knife Invitational we sat and chatted a bit and I got to meet his son.
Holder was one of a kind. He was the real deal. A good human being.
Holger was one of the funniest people I have ever met. I am sorry for his passing. We will all be less without this great man in our life.
Neil,
I know how close you were to Holger. I am truly sorry for your loss of the kind of friend that you rarely find on the path of life. I sorry you lost him.
I count myself fortunate to have met Holger (at the Chicago Custom show). He proved to be a rather interesting person with a very colorful history, yet he was genuinely interested in my line of work (veterinarian), I sure could see his love of animals. I kept wanting to ask him questions about everything he had done. We will miss him. Truly one of BF's greats.
