If time and availability are not an issue then I'd like to suggest Cold Steel's Recon Scout! If we're only going by the movies AND whether or not the knives actually existed at the time the movie was set. I'd agree on the Randall for First Blood BUT say an ESEE Junglas for the second one as he knew he was heading into the Jungle .
Yes, agreed, Great call on the Original , (Not the garcia cloneCould've been a Hackman survival knife or the copy. Which was the Garcia survival knife, made in Brazil.
HEAVY DUTY GARCIA BRAZIL HACKMAN CLONE SURVIVAL KNIFE
12" OAL; 6 3/4 saw back stainless steel spear point blade, factory finish, minor surface blemishes; leather washer handle (hollow for storage of survival items),www.allaboutpocketknives.com
As the movies went along he used more and more basic stuff until finally we was haclking with a sharpened leaf spring, basically.
What did Roy Benavidez carry?
There is some partial truth to this. After 25+ years & on ODA's, The best combo I found was, US Army issue machete with hard case having built in sharpener (in Ruck), M9 Bayonet (Ruck or LBE/V depending on mission), Gerber MKII/Guardian II on trouser belt, Victorinox Ranger or larger (in a handy location like a survival kit), your favorite EDC (wherever you want to carry it), and a multi tool (in a handy location like weapons cleaning kit or demo kit). The machete can chop down a medium sized tree in addition to clearing vegetation. The bayonet is self explanatory + has additional uses. A fighting knife is part of your uniform. The Victorinox has many uses but the scissors opened MRE packages early in my career. I later hung a Leatherman Style CS on my belt loop to do the same.Victorinox Classic SD is the only knife you really need.
Crazy i was lurking this one the other night on the $feebay. !!If time and availability are not an issue then I'd like to suggest Cold Steel's Recon Scout!

Nice Randall & Lile in the middle i would keep only theses twoFor the movie the prop people did not source the knife. Sylvester Stallone was a knife collector and it was his idea to make the knife a big part of the movies. He located Jimmy Lile and they developed the idea of that knife. No doubt a Randall 18 was part of the process. reference: https://blademag.com/tv-and-movie-knives/the-knives-of-the-rambo-movies-behind-the-scenes
First Blood came out in1982, so the original knife was probably crafted in 1980 or so. Since Jimmy Lile was a knife maker at the time, he theoretically could have been contacted by a Soldier 10 -15 years earlier than the movie during Vietnam to make the same knife.
I bought Sly II knife from Lile in 1982 or 83 for $675, which was pretty pricey but the Rambo version was more like $1200 or so and a little too much for me.
So although it would have been a lot more likely that a real version of Rambo in Vietnam in the late 1960's / early 1970's would have had a Randall 14 or 18, Western Bowie, Gerber Mark II, or Kabar. It would have been possible for him to actually have the knife in the movie. Another possibility is the Imperial UDT knife which was developed in the 1960's and carried by SEAL's and EOD Divers. Middle knife in the below picture. The bottom knife, which also has a saw back is a US Divers model first sold in 1958 or 59 that was common among SEALS as well.

Here is a picture of my knife collection circa 1985 approx. I have the Lile Sly II
and the Randall 18 swapped by the wrong sheaths for the picture, oopps.
