"Rambo"=AWESOME

The claymore was supposedly sympathetically detonating the "Tallboy" bomb it was next to. I'm glad they did mention the name, for that explosion would have been believable. The Tallboy did carry about 5000 lbs of Torpex.

Would a claymore set it off? Perhaps. But the reference to the bomb, which I actually don't think ever saw use in Asia made it a bit more believable.

hey zman308
one of the guides in the movie when they passed by a large cave told Rambo that the bomb sticking out of the ground was a tallboy bomb dropped by the Brit's during WWII, thats what Rambo set the the Claymore against the claymore mine at least Vietnam era type was 700 steel Ball Bearings on top of 1lb.C-4 plastic explosive he detonated this against the 12,000lb. tallboy earthquake bomb. below is a link to the bombs:D

I just watched it saturday and its not bad. I liked first blood much better. I think stalllone looks to fake in this movie.
I thought the alternate ending/flashback scene was really cool. I was wondering how many people caught that or even knew First Blood had an alternate ending.

Mercs were absurd. ACU in the jungle? C'mon, even they know better than that :p Silenced .50 was idiotic as well.

Silenced .50 was idiotic as well.

That was one of my favorite hollywood moments. I also liked how he shot and wounded them with the bow on the first shot but could put the arrow through their head while running on the second shot. How about when he gets shot by the 50 from the Gunboat and lives.
Then again, this is rambo its not supposed to be real.

I think the round he took from the gunboat ricoched off of the shield of the .50 he was manning and just grazed him.

My only disappointment, and it's a small one, was the scene when Rambo drew down on the SAS mercinary with his bow. Although it would have been a chiche, I think that Brittish character would have said something like, "I'm starting to like this bloke!" after Rambo stood down.

It drives me crazy when anyone carries a knife upside down on their LBE. All the mercs did it. I think it got started by someone on the cover of Soldier of Fortune many years ago.
