I just saw Rambo (IV) and I have to say that it was phenomenal. Maybe its just the kid in me but it's great to have really bad guys get killed really well by a really good guy.:D There's a relatively long scene where he forges his knife, always endearing to a knifeknut:thumbup: The movie also ends very well. Definitely worth the $8 I paid

Cool, I'm glad they kept the forging scene in  I will be seeing tomorrow

I agree with hammer. It's an awesome flick.

I thought it would seem short too but it didn't seem that way at all. No loose threads or the like, I think you'll be content when you leave.

+1 good movie! No shooting down helicopters with "exploding tipped arrows"

Don't get me started on movie prices, we pay $15.50 which at current exchange rates is about US$13.60, add another US$9.80 for popcorn and softdrink.

Doesn't start here for another couple of weeks. Glad to hear it's enjoyable.

I caught the 7pm showing. Very cool movie! I'm really happy with the ending of the series. There were familiar elements of the movie from the previous three. Also, Rambo is pretty nasty with a handgun apparently. A couple scenes were a little over the top but that is the nature of Rambo. A few readily available knives made a cameo including a Boker Applegate combat knife on a LBV and what looked like a Pilot's survival knife on one of the Burmese.

Overall, a very entertaining movie for a lifelong Rambo fan.

(POSSIBLE SPOILER AHEAD!)

If you are a crazy Rambo fan like me, you caught the alternate ending from one of the movies thrown into the flashback scene. The one with Colonel Trautman pulling a .45.

Just got back from seeing Rambo - excellent movie. Can't understand the bad press. If you've enjoyed any of the other Rambo movies you'll love this one.

However, they never showed a great shot of the knife (machette, cleaver, ???) that he forged. Would love to see a clear shot of it.

The most functional knife of the series.

Sly if you are reading this. Nice job brother.

LOL, I feel sorry for you guys who pay an arm and a leg. Down here in South Texas land, wednesday night is college night at the movies and we only pay $3 bucks and that's USD for you foreign guys. I hope to make the show soon before I can't help myself from reading the reviews and killing the plot for myself :D.

Damn good movie! I like the fact that the knife wasn't shown alot. And that's not because I didn't like the knife. It is a very practical design. The knife wasn't "the star" of the movie and I think that made the movie more focused. It was a very serious and horribly realistic movie. I got a totally different feeling from the movie than I did from First Blood in that there are still some things that are worth doing. Great flick!
