Randall's Adventure & Training JUNGLA Backpack

iam going to hold off buying a maxpedition untill these come out.
any word on when they will be available?.

i really wanna test out this pack and see how it feels with my flak and everything on. Wish i could take it to norway next week

looks good. my only thoughts on how it could be improved changed are:
1) could the clip in the organiser section be made removeable? I find they get in the way more often than not.
2) other coulors. black and sand would probably both be very popular. certainly I would prefer black.

but, atleast for me, neither of those are particualy deal breakers, and I would happily buy it if I had cash available, and the need/desire for a new bag. (the latter is quite likely, the former maybe not so much)

This was introduced a long time ago... the ESEE folks have a lot of stuff on their plate, so I'd not hold my breath over it coming out any time soon...

I was looking at some packs today and thought of this thread.

Any updates on this project Jeff or Mike? I mean, not like you guys have been doing anything else right? :D I keed, I keed.

Quick photos of a proto we got in. We are going to make some minor changes such as adding the MOLLE cross straps to the shoulder straps. These will be offered in colors. They are very heavily built and high quality. Water bladder compatible. 3 compartments with compression straps. Shoulder and waist straps stow in the back of the pack out of sight and out of the way in case you just want to use this as a carry bag on a plane. We do not have all the specs on this yet as far as cubic inches, etc. Mike knows more about this project than I do so he may be able to answer more of the questions. Should be shipping these to customers around the beginning of Spring. No pricing yet. Made in Colombia.

Rat? I printed out a guide for a BOB that was on the sites links, are you Jeff as in the guy who teaches some of the courses?

Would you still suggest a Maxpedition bag or would this be a good alternative? I like bags with alot of compartments and tight fitting organizers like for pens, multitools, etc.

I currently for school use a maxpedition Mongo for my moleskine books, text books, and etc little things. Only thing I don't like about it, is not many straps to add pouches onto for day to day.

But for a pack for taking on hikes, or a go bag; I was looking at the Falcon II, Vulture II for large size, and the Pygmy for price and smaller size.

Some of the stuff I saw was for smaller carry, and for short survival periods, what if you need to be in the wilderness longer or stranded longer? Any pointers? And would a slightly bigger bag then the Pygmy be a better choice, like the Vulture II?

I really like the bag you posted though, trying to wait and see.

One in the same Spartan. Jeff is "The Jeff".

His article on Go Bags was a good read. Most of us around here like Max gear, but if ESEE produces this pack, it will be a good competitor from what we know. I too like lots of pockets and pouches and of course MOLLE webbing.

There's a lot of info out there on the different Max bags. From all my research, I'm leaving the Pygmy for day hikes and the like and the Falcon II for a Go Bag and primary pack. The Vulture is good for longer outings.

Thanks for the info, I wasn't to sure if it was the same guy, also got a swat magazine, and was informed he writes articles in it too! I am pretty dense...

I guess I will wait on a go bag, and just wait to see how this bag develops!
