Randall's Adventure & Training JUNGLA Backpack

The velcro patch on the top was/is there for Mil and LEO personnel to change and remove various patches they use in different OPS. AT least that is my understanding. It isn't there to put any kind of permanant log or decoration on. A lot of uniforms and mil/leo jackets have velcro on them to remove insignias in certain field operations where a particular patch may get you killed quicker than the next guy who isn't wearing say a 2nd Lts patch:)

aye, I wore one of those annoying uniforms. I had so many problems with the velcro wearing with the patches and got sick of replacing my unis due to crappy velcro so I just sewed them on over the velcro anyway. I don't know any regulations that state you need a patch on your pack... I think it's just the tacticool thing to do nowadays-bug out, eberle and a bunch of other manufacturers are doing it. It's just one of those things I think are inconvenient fluff versus a cool feature.

I was about to purchase the new TAD Gear F.A.S.T. Pack v4, but I'll hold off. I love RC products, and I'm sure I'll love this pack. I can't wait for it to come out.

Just a question/suggestion...I know many like to use water bladders, but I actually like to use a Klean Kanteen, Nalgene, or Camelbak watter bottle. Would there be a pouch or something on the side for carrying some type of water bottle?

I understand that the pack will be awesome sauce no matter what, and you can't please everybody with everything...just curious. Thanks. I'm really looking forward to this product.

There's a Maxpedition fold up bag that you can attach to the side to hold a bottle; the Mini Rolly Poly I belive it's called.

This pack looks TOUGH. I would like to see some more MOLLE straps on the front perhaps. Otherwise, it looks durable, has a good capacity, and comfortable.

Wondering the same.

Great looking pack

One thing - surprised there isnt any type of raised pads for your back - as a jungle pack I'd assume youd sweat like a sonabitch with your back right against the cordura - some airflow or wicking material would be nice...
.

"Jungles" in Colombia can be anywhere from 40 degrees to 90 degrees, depending on elevation. Some of the mountains are in the 17 to 18 thousand foot range and permanently snow capped.

*Edit:*

I missed the early spring line in the first post :)

for water carry, i believe jeff said it would have a place for a water bladder(ie-camelbak style)

Woohoo! An actual padded waist strap! So many packs today have a nearly useless waist strap.

An internal frame sheet might be nice as an option but with a pack this size it is unneeded.

Hi Folks,

I'm new to this Forum and this will be my first Post.
First of all nice Pack which I really want to get when it comes out.
But the question is, will the Pack also be available through your distributors network so that also People not living in USA can get em???

Great looking pack guys well done. I echo RAT Freak's question, when this comes out, will it be US only or will non-US fans be able to get one too?

I'm really late to this thread but I wanted to add something.

I hope I'm not talking out of school here but I know where Jeff and Mike are having these things made. I know the owner and workers there personally and have purchased numerous pieces of gear from them over the years. So have many of my co-workers. I have never seen or heard a piece of their gear failing.

For those that may be questioning the quality because it's made in Colombia, don't worry. The quality is there. It's as tough as just about anything else out there. As indicated here already, there are some VERY serious dudes using this equipment in some very harsh environments. Guys that have basically a credit card from Uncle Sam with no limit and they still choose this dude's gear, when they could literally buy anything. I'm not saying this is the only company they use but they all do use this dude's gear. Whatever 3 letter agency you can think of that is operating in Colombia or Venezuela (oops-is that supposed to be a secret???), they are using this gear.

Once again, RAT won't be dissapointing with quality.

I did not see the pack being made in Colombia as that big of a deal being most folks on here are carrying maxpedition and it is made in Taiwan .
If ESEE name is on it , it will be 1st class w/o a Doubt
