Random Photo Thread!

Wow, talk about making the color POP! That scene is an excellent candidate for shooting at the hyperfocal distance, to get everything in focus. Its a little more difficult with a point n shoot but still possible.

Nice shot!

My superheros:

20ft long branches, not trees... 3 bigguns' are almost removed... 3ft round trunks 60-80ft tall doug firs, taken out in 20in or so rounds...

The gross thing is that it is such a shoddy job. I happen to love jaw bone knives, some of the ones by some members here are done way nice. I think John White hs done some, anyways whoever it is that specializes in old style knives has shown them over in Customs.

My dog would eat that in like 5secs.. well maybe 30seconds.. I feed my pouch 2cups of food for each meal. It is done before I can pour water.. literally less than 10secs. Damn big dogs.

Photo thread! Not a dog.. not a knife, as it is the random photo thread, but a link to 2 videos. Hope they work. One starts off sideways then rotates.. I thought it would have done it automagically :)

Well I haven't been shooting much lately, lacking inspiration. Finally got a good dose, started a new style of post processing shots in wild colors through different methods to get abstract, vivid images.

this is the water cooler at work...

The bike one is really good. And this is film, yes? No after effects cheating? :)
Nice.

Not film, believe it or not this I done all in camera on my cell phone with aftermarket apps I downloaded.

I went for a cruise, here's a nearby lake hiding in the background.

There were some cool whirlwinds on the other end of the lake... I think I'm going fishing just upstream soon.

This was taken on a flat area on top of the mountain on the right side of the lake, the whole area was just nuts! See the mountains in the first pic.. the view was above those. There were quite a few houses up there and it was one seriously steep and long drive... awesome! This was taken at probably 10,500 feet elevation... there were several cool places across the street and the view was forever...

10,500 alt. Yikes! It must take an hour and 300* to boil water up there! It would take me a week just to be able to walk 100 yards up there. My house is only 6 feet above sea level, my parents house just a couple miles away is actually below sea level!

Very cool pics, too! I got my Yashica all tuned up and working good today, so I loaded a roll of film and brought it on my walk to work today. I forgot how fun shooing film is, not knowing if things came out the way you envisoned, slowing down, playing by the classic rules. I'm even trying to shoot more using the "sunny 16" rule rather than relying on my light meter, though I do confirm my settings with a meter from time to time.

I hear you! 10,500 is very high... I'm at 7500 and get winded easily because of the elevation even after living here.

Thanks on the pics! Awesome you got the camera going too and I have to read more about cameras now. :D

A pic of a waterfall that Jen and I came across on a day hike. If you look close you can see Jen.
