Oh, don't get me wrong. I've brought it up at government buildings and ballparks as well. Someone needs to keep account of these things. At least it wasn't the US flag, but I just cannot believe that this is in front of our courthouse. An individual it would bother me but our courthouse? That's just ridiculous.
So customs seized 2 folders claiming they were "automatic" and "assisted automatic" (both illegal here) and I was served with a notice. Both are manual folders(Artisan Arion & Civivi brazen). So here I am lodging an appeal. Honestly, how people get by doing these kind of jobs without knowing the very basics, is beyond me

Unfortunately, it's not just our brothers and sisters in Oz that are subjected to such. And why people in a free society tolerate this from their state is waaaay beyond me
When NY started cracking down on 'gravity knives', i.e. any folding knife that can be opened by centrifugal force (originally aimed at balisongs/butterfly knives), more than one person got hit with a charge because some overzealous "pick up that can, citizen" type, would try all sorts of ridiculous ways to hold the blade and 'flip' the knife open, and if they succeeded once after dozens of tries, "Yep, it's a gravity knife. These are illegal to carry in NY".So customs seized 2 folders claiming they were "automatic" and "assisted automatic" (both illegal here) and I was served with a notice. Both NY and Chicago (and maybe other cities) have a "Stop scaring the Karens" ordinances against carrying any knife so it's visible (that includes 'visibly printing' in a pocket)I haven't lived there in years, (like 34), but if I remember correctly, you can't have a pocket clip showing on a knife anymore in NYC.
I'm glad they have their priorities straight.
I think "Snake" Plissken was rumored to have been seen there recently...(and not a moment too soon, imho)
It was NYPD doing it.Still happens today, not just in NY, and not just by some overzealous citizen, but occasionally by a LEO.
We need more "anti-gravity" folders. Like this one, where opening with centrifugal force is impossible.

I hate that term. (Not your message). I don't think it would fly if we substituted Juanita, Shaniqua or some other name associated with a particular race, ethnicity or culture. Both NY and Chicago (and maybe other cities) have a "Stop scaring the Karens" ordinances against carrying any knife so it's visible (that includes 'visibly printing' in a pocket)![]()
You can wrist flick open a Szabo in a reverse grip. I think…Still happens today, not just in NY, and not just by some overzealous citizen, but occasionally by a LEO.

No one would care about another person asking if they can try to flip your knife open.
There is just nothing that can be done about itAnd why people in a free society tolerate this from their state is waaaay beyond me
