Random Thought Thread

Absolutely grueling day yesterday. Two Halloween parades at two different schools followed by Halloween party volunteer work followed by six hours at California Adventure + Disneyland. Sounds like an easy schedule. But I would rather work concrete + overtime on a hot summer day.

Disneyland on VIP passes...

Tour guide basically serves as an immediately redeemable FastPass for the entire touring party and for all major attractions. For attractions without FastPass, we were ushered in at or near the point of boarding. Six hours. Ten rides (five each per park). YMMV. A dedicated group not slowed by strollers should be able to mark off twenty rides or more. Reserved seating for parades and fireworks. Free valet parking at Grand Californian with access to either park from there. Food and drinks not included. Will definitely consider VIP service if attending with a group of at least 8 the next time around.

^ Halloween theme was represented by an orange and purple lighting scheme. Haunted Mansion reverted to Haunted Mansion Holiday with The Nightmare Before Christmas overlay (as seen on Christmas Eve). Night time parades and character greeting sessions were populated primarily by villians. Dedicated sections where Snickers/Kit Kat/1000 Grand/Twix (et al) were distributed. Alternatives included Pirate's Booty, Kettle Baked Potato Chips Sea Salt and individual bags of peeled carrots. Add in your usual Halloween mix of soft and hardcore cosplayers among the visiting public. Nothing stood out in particular. Attraction photos were available to download for free. Watching villians roaming the grounds was interesting. Maybe the Kettle chips and carrots. That was a nice touch.

If Bob doesn't show up today with pictures of his new HDFKs, I'll be starting a new, "Where's Bob?!" thread!

Then, I'll be calling his House every 5 minutes (or perhaps even less) till he picks up o_O

Head over to Eatingtools and browse around while you wait :) . They have some fairly high-end, custom/mid-tech kitchen tools including knives. Just picked up four pair of TiStix (Made in USA) chopsticks to replace Kurikatte Ti (Made in China). Waiting on the Draper Ti spatulas to restock (might pick them up direct). Leaning towards a full assortment of Ti spoons and forks from American Kami (Made in USA) to replace Esbit Ti (Made in Germany).

^ This has all been made possible courtesy of a full CPK schedule. No money spent on knives means more money spent on kitchen utensils ;)

That’s cool Adam.

At some point I meant to pick up a set of Spartan Blades chopsticks but never got around to finding the ones I want in stock.

So to not clutter the WTB/S/T thread, that was a nice yet nasty looking UF, however I don't think that Nathan was the one who bought it back! The seller had said, "thank Nathan" as a gesture of his gratitude for making such fine knives and also facilitating a thread within here for CPK fans to B/S/T. Me thinks so anyways.

Thanks Nathan :)

P.S. congrats to the new owner

P.P.S. where was Bob?!
