Wow - small world! My grandfather was also a master machinist - but at the Charleston Navy Yard. Before, during, and after WW2. He could make anything out of metal. Ships would come in for repair and need some oddball part and he would conjure it up. In 1940 he moved his entire family from Oklahoma to Charleston, SC for five cents an hour more in wages. He would make window screens and screen doors as a side hustle. A different era!
Same period...

Guys, know who you are dealing with if you jump into a buy or sell scenario.

There's been some hacked accounts of late...so make sure you take care of protecting yourself, your money and property.

Ensure that you have a strong password on this site and don't use the same password for any of your other accounts.

Use Bladeforum’s two factor authentication, if possible.

After watching Thandiwe Newton (not a big fan) in "All the Old Knives" tonight I compiled my list of the Top Five Newtons:

5 - Nate Newton
4 - Juice Newton
3 - Wayne Newton
2 - Fig Newton
1 - Sir Isaac Newton. Of course.

Honorable Mention: Cam Newton; Olivia Newton-John; Newton Minow; James Newton Howard.

Yep. I'll tell everybody right now that I don't sell my knives. So, if you ever see what looks like me selling a knife, don't believe it because it's not me.

For the benefit of those who have been wondering, old Ronnie Hood is still alive and kicking. He's sick, but he's okay. He had us all a little bit concerned when he said he was coughing up blood and then ghosted the forum, but I heard from him today and he's alive and recuperating.
Thanks for reaching out Nate.
I’m getting there, although they found my little sister dead this morning.
Can’t make this shit up, it’s like living in a soap opera lately 😞

Damn. Don’t really know what to say to that.
I’m glad you’re feeling better and I am sorry for your loss.
It’s weird, I haven’t spoke to her for ages, she always thought I didn’t like her, now I won’t get the chance to sort shit out.
Guess we should reach out to people because you never know when it’s no longer an option.
Anyway I’ll stop gibbering on.
Take care folks, and tell the people you care about that you do actually give a shit before it’s too late

So very sorry. My condolences.

The wife fell in love with a rebuilt 54 Tin Woody. Now we just have to get it from NC to CA.
