Random Thought Thread

I’m a regretful millennial and made the cut off (though it seems to keep moving so here’s to hoping). I can read and write cursive. In fact, my normal handwriting uses both so it looks a bit bazaar and a lot of younger people have a hard time reading it. It’s kind of funny to realize when I have a cursive “s” in one part of a word and then a print “s” in a different part of the same word. It’s defiantly legible… just weird.
 
Just pondering the rash of ads on the Exhange from new "members" (who smell like "dealers") who are listing their stuff at EB/AZK price levels, who have apparently fled those sites in order to avoid the fees there as well as the new 1099 reporting requirements.

Not a pleasant "change" in the Exchange IMO. :(

Called dodge today for shits and giggles, all I got was giggles! Trying to charge $146 for the fuel/water separator and $98 for the fuel filter. 😂😂 I can get them both from Genos for like $80 each. God, it’s amazing how they rip people off every day. Sure am glad I can work on my own stuff.

I’m getting them back. In 2006 when I bought my truck new, I paid 500$ for lifetime oil changes including the filter. I now have 287,000 mile on the truck and have been there every 3000 for my oil change. So I’ve gotten around 95 of them. Since they are over a hundred bucks now, I’d say I’ve gotten my money’s worth.

I agree I grew up working on all my own stuff, building my own stuff etc


Now that I'm old, I still do all the oil changes and any maintenance on all of our cars (4) that are driven everyday

I always think to myself how much it would cost if I didn't have the ability to fix things (especially working at a dealership and knowing what the service department charges)
