Makes sense, I really on the fence about trading my FK2 for a UF2.
There will be more Field Knives. Unless we get another special order for them, I don't plan to run the UF again. The FK is a standard, the UF is a classic. Mark my words.

I like the way the UF2 looks. the reason I got an FK2 is because I need a 4 1/2” blade. I still might trade for a UF2 though.

The handles are completely different so don‘t be fooled into thinking the UF2 simply provides more blade length, you’ll end up losing that juicy hand fulfilling grip the FK2 has going for it.

Sophie‘s choice between FK2 and UF2: UF2 gets thrown off the boat. If DEK1 is close by, it would get tossed to save the other two.

BTW . . . it is impossible to maintain for any long term any conspiracy which involves more than two live people.
So... if a UFO was piloted by a pair of extraterrestrials who came down to mingle amongst us, and they had hidden/unobstrusive horns, they might have written an urban song about themselves?

The DEK is middle ground between UF and FK2, closer handle to UF, closer blade to FK2. If I had to pick one of the three for general carry and use it would be the DEK. If I had to pick one for woods use, it would be the FK2, and if I had to pick one for “rough” use it would be the UF.

The BFK is also a really interesting knife. You get a little more blade and a little more skew towards toughness than the DEK and FK2 and because the blade is slightly stretched and the handle contouring is a little lighter relative to the FK2 it has a more “tactical” feel to it. I think it might be the sleeper of the CPK lineup although I miss the thumb ramp jimping and lanyard hole a little.

All four of these are oriented towards cutting / slicing / poking performance to varying degrees. The HDFK is interesting in that it gives you all the cutting performance and adds the option to slide back on the handle a little and chop effectively, in as very similarly sized package.

The UFO's would have to be spiritually controlled or computer controlled. There's no way that organic matter could handle those gees. I'm not sure that computers could even handle those gees.

What if there was no Gs at all? What if they were totally stationary and it was the space around them moving. No issues with conservation of inertia if there isn't any momentum.

I'm just saying... What ever It is, thinking about it in the context of our own current technology (that can't even remotely do these things) might be missing something.
