Random Thought Thread

I was working on the very last knife of the UF pre-order yesterday and scrapped it. So Mark came in today and made another one and I'm doing the final steps on it now. UPS is open until 4:00. Today is one year. This pre-order is going to have shipped on time. Just barely, and we're not bringing much to blade show, but we got it done.
Your team's dedication and unwillingness to compromise is appreciated! I hope you get to relax and also enjoy the show.

It's a poor musician who blames his instrument, and I honestly screwed this up myself, but it was the last blade and it was the last edge and my belt was starting to wobble a little, and as I was approaching the plunge the belt made a little wobble and it made the sound of doom and I even got a little puff of grit and I knew what I had done. Man, I was so pissed off. We were done. And then we weren't.

I just finished the replacement, it is flawless.

These are so difficult. At least it wasn't a satin. We have knives that have eight man hours in them on some of these technical pieces.

We are not in the business of making perfect knives and collector art pieces, but some of these have turned out pretty nice. And I will be happy to never see them again.

Back when we were a smaller outfit I could do a run of 50 or 100 and not get burned out, but this was 800 utility fighters and I think I don't want to see them again anytime soon.

We have a special customer contemplating a pattern for delivery in 2024. The Shiv is on the table...

I'll give you $50 for it

Could that be a future Fun Friday D/E hollow grind?🤔

I'd fly into the show if I wasn't already booked. Have a buddy in Atlanta who might go down for me. Recently discovered CPK and am all in. Thanks to Jo for the hookup and to the guys that sold me a few off the forum. Don't know what the UF1's and UF2's I bought from a couple members originally cost and don't care. I use my knives and have a total of 4 inbound next week, can't wait. Wish the show was in Colorado as I'd buy a few more!

Even though my please help me thread was deleted as not appropriate for this sub-forum I am happy to announce my first large crk 31 arrived today. Stiff as hell but I assume that will break in. Not a scratch on it. Black Micarta inlay. Beautiful. Can't wait to scratch the crap out of while waiting for the CPK equivalent:) happy memorial day all my friends. After sitting and fondling it for a couple of hours i get it. Solid is the best way I can describe it. Not overbuilt just flat Solid. Simple design and well executed. Simple is always better.

Happy Saturday CPK crew! Put new pads and rotors on the wife’s truck today, like a brand new truck now 😂. I made a video yesterday chopping down a tree with my Light Chopper. I’m not sure how to post a long video on here though. And I’m not good at YouTube. 😂
