Sorry to report that Skyler's turnaround was short lived. I noticed her bowel movements looked a bit soft today...and tonight she lost her dinner despite having an appetite. So, I don't know if it's excess acid, (from anxiety due to thunderstorms), or a bug...

We shall see. It's so rare for her to be sick, it always comes as a shock. She's very hearty. Our Weim was much more inclined to various issues.

Hopefully she gets over whatever it is soon. It's no fun having a sick kid (furry or not).

I’m sorry to hear that. I was glad to see the photo of her doing better. Hopefully it’s just a short term set back and she will be back to herself soon.

Thoughts and prayers and good vibes to Skyler feeling better soon

Hope she recovers quickly.

Words I came up with to describe what was going on at the homestead when the wife would call from work after our first child - “Assplosion”, “Craptastrophe” and “Shizaster”.
Others may have also independently coined these words but I hadn’t heard them prior to using them in frantic clean up mode.

Thanks, guys. She made it through the night on an empty stomach. Took her out this morning and no drama...and gave her some white rice when we got back with a famotidine tablet. Going to stick to white rice today and see if we can gradually put her back on her kibble.

I feel like I'd rather tear off my arm than watch her in discomfort, but she's sleeping right now on the couch a couple of feet away...so, hopefully a good sign.

I'm starting to hate / dread holidays. Our Weim "Smoky' revealed serious issues during the 4th of July holiday back in 2013...we had to say goodbye to him on July 5th. We rescued "Skyler" a few months later once we felt ready for another dog in the house.

Thanks for letting me vent.

We are all rooting for her Elliot! I hope she's on the mend.

And Sadie too!!!

I was working on the very last knife of the UF pre-order yesterday and scrapped it. So Mark came in today and made another one and I'm doing the final steps on it now. UPS is open until 4:00. Today is one year. This pre-order is going to have shipped on time. Just barely, and we're not bringing much to blade show, but we got it done.
