Thank you to those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may retain our freedoms and our Liberty. Living free in America in these modern times is a blessing that was paid for with blood. It is a unique and precious thing. Today is Memorial Day, where we remember and show our appreciation for those who gave all.

Well said, Nathan. Plus, as far as I’m concerned this day should be celebrated in Germany, too.

Happy Memorial Day.

Dropped Skyler at the vet hospital today to have her checked out. Seems to be a few things going on...nothing particularly awful at the moment.
She's on an IV, apparently she was pretty dehydrated, a lot of air in her belly, and a couple of screening tests were a bit off...should find out more later. But overall, looks like it should be okay...will know more when we pick her up later today. She may have to go back tomorrow for more fluids.

Good luck!

Our older one, a couple of years ago, started having really bad dhiarea and not even holding water anymore, in the span of 2-3 days or so. We brought him in, he was dehydrated too, and - after some tests - they found that he has "Addison's autoimmune disease". They put him on steroids, he now takes 5mg of Prednisone daily and is completely fine. On days when we foresee stress (travel or July 4 fireworks, for instance), we increase the dosage a bit.

Not trying to scare you, B. .... Just think it's great the vet is checking Skyler out, and of course, fingers crossed !

Roland.

Thanks for the update. I hope she is feeling better soon.
