Random Thought Thread

That happened to a buddy and me years ago when we were up x-c skiing / winter camping up in the high peaks region of the Adirondacks. Got back to his VW and found the window shattered. Fortunately, we had little to lose at the time and not much of value was taken. It was infuriating, (and cold on the 300 mile ride home).

I have friends who have "beach cars" for that exact purpose.
I meant a bait car. One with a few items left out so you or local law enforcement could wait for the criminals to break in and get caught in the act. Sometimes on t.v. I’ve seen them do it in areas where people often steal cars. After they take it a remote kill switch is activated and they are locked in.

All my emissions are still on the truck, all the stuff that should be deleted, and that all the old timers say rob MPG. Well, after doing some emissions intact tuning, this pig would barely get 18mpg unloaded on long trips. Yesterday I recorded 21.2 MPG!!!!

In minecraft I'd trade the kill switch for a kill switch.

So, I finished unloading that container yesterday.

I was wondering what the roaches were eating.

Big roaches

We have cheese. I'm guessing whatever kind of cheese they use at McDonald's because it's probably 20 years old and it isn't moldy. It is mushed up down into the raised floor. I'm going to have to clean that out somehow. And keep the dogs for eating it.

As I was clearing out The Container the roaches kept moving to the back of it. And when I got to the last couple pallets of junk there were a bunch of roaches in there. I had a can of wasp spray and I was killing them as I pulled the stuff out. I got every one that I saw, probably about 30 of them, half of them 2 inch or better. I probably only missed one or two million of them.

I guess I need to go pick up a couple gallons of that purple stuff cleaner and drag out the pressure washer...
If it had been me, I would've stuck a couple bug bombs in that sucker and closed it back up for a couple days.

My rear passenger window got smashed today while I was out spearfishing. They took my wallet, reylight, spikediesel sak, two beers, and my first aid kit. F*ck. I'm in a place where it doesn't really hurt too much financially, but it feels dirty and violating. To top it off, I didn't even get any fish.
Sux big time!
Not to sound cavalier, but you will put this behind you. The thief, on the other hand, will continue to spiral down.
I know the violated feeling. Our family had 3 business‘ and experienced outside and inside theft. (inside felt the worst)
The only advise there is, it isn’t personal. Your paths crossed, like a flat tire happens randomly.
Rather than visualizing a pro, gang, crack addict etc. Maybe it was someone destitute.
We had a young guy get caught ”woods junkin’” on our oil lease. He knew what to take, so it was a felony. He had a job and a wife who worked too. His lawyer presented records showing they were sinking.
So my Dad hired him. He worked for us 28 years. His daughter is my God Child.
Sometimes, there’s more to a thief‘s story, than the thievery itself.

I'm all for electric vehicles. I wish everybody had one.

I'm also all for subsidizing something like electric vehicles and solar panels to help kickstart an industry that can solve a lot of problems.

Electric vehicles are already mainstream at this point. They don't need my taxpayer money to kick start them. Plenty of people want one and, at this point, they can sink or swim on their own merits.

The government needs to quit hemorrhaging my money.
Ohh sure, but it's ok for you to cause us to hemorrhage money, what with your fancy knafs and all!😁
