Random Thought Thread

THT, once you get it you’ll have to do a review and see if it cuts through butter without taking any edge damage. 😉
I'll be sure to use the kind with lead in it.

eta.

I've cut watermelons with a BIG AEBL knife from David Mary David Mary .

on a glass cutting board. on a stone countertop.

I hit both repeatedly and once I took the knife to a butcher steel and straightened it all out there was no edge damage. it was uncanny.

The CPK table knife. In its ridiculous glory. OMG.

It can't cut a chain. But it can spread cheese curds at high speed and low drag.

Well done!
Man..the last chain I had to cut at dinner? Maybe ‘16, ‘17?

^ it's just the gift that keeps on giving

On the periodic table, that element is at # 82 which is respectable (at least is a metallic element and not an inert gas!), with an electron configuration which looks intimidatingly badass to me: [Xe] 6s² 4f¹⁴ 5d¹⁰ 6p²... If we replace lead with that formula, no other dunmbass in here other than perhaps Professor Richard and Dr. NinJo would know what the farg is going on. I'd say that we embrace it instead of running away from it.

Wow!!

Mortgage rates just rose past 6%.

Mortgage Rates Top 6% For 1st Time Since 2008

Glad I refi'd my 4.75% mtg from 2009 at 3% in Jan 2022 BUT that won't make up for my utility bill which has been going thru the roof due to the extreme hot weather these past few months. :(

BTW, I once had a mtg of around 16% back in the late 70's when inflation was raging and there were lines at the gas pump but the loan amount was only around $50k then and we (my ex & I) fortunately could afford it. 🤷‍♂️

Random thought. I think one of the main reasons that more people don't carry pocket knives is because most people can't sharpen a knife. And a dull knife really isn't any more useful than a no knife. Having knives without the ability to sharpen them is like having a car and just having the tank of gas that comes with it.

Yeessssss. Someone who speaks my language. Finally a good thing about lead. Like he said badass electron config. Sorry just got done with physics.

Like herpes, it’s never really going to go away.

I'm really sorry about your herpes. But it is at least a little bit your fault. I didn't know that goat was sick, and I wouldn't have lent it to you if I'd known what you were planning.

They say after the initial flareup it gets better. I hope you feel better soon.
