To answer your experiment , I’d use the thicker. Why cause I’m that guy that would have it with me lol Seriously though if a person is in a work position to be in such a situation. Then the thinner one for all the real world reasons as you’ve mentioned.

Still I’d like a big fat camp knife lol

Seen the brown truck... ran to the door like a small child to the tree on Christmas morning !

He stopped in front of my house (I heard him moving things around ... much like Santa in his bag)

As I stood outside my door ready to personally recieved my new CPK......


He jumped in the driver seat and just drove away.. never got out of his truck

I stood empty handed and heart broken in the front yard for a good 5 minutes

I trust that Nathan the Machinist will never put his name on a knife that he considers poorly designed, just to use up material. In fact the reason this is even being discussed is because he refused to compromise and ignore the rotation of the sheet. I'm hoping this gets figured out and we see the khukuris that were planned.

CPK tends to use UPS Ground which doesn't deliver on Saturdays. SDFK? Very well worth the extra day(s) of wait

I like how they're doing their fullers now. They used to just plunge them straight in and run them across and pull straight out. Now they're doing a nice radial lead in. Very nice. If I ever start cutting fullers on any of my work I'll do it the same way as they do.
