So after my ups upset.....

I'm still checking tracking which says delivery 2 hours ago......

I'm crying on the inside and outside

Do not let that go too long without disputing the not delivered. Going through similar with fedex right now what a PIA . Luckily mine is just a spyderco folder. Showed delivered on tracking. Well I sure don’t see it here and my front yard is pretty clear, no place to hide. Plus I know all my neighbors, sure not with them either.

I hope you get it sorted out 🤞👍👍🙂

Never had Sykcos, nothing in Busse as far as eyes can see,
Diehard CoCK till the day there is no Casino and no more Stock
Started with little, collected more, some I let go, madness I ask of thee?
Luv'ing the vibes, the knibes, CPK CoCKs even that mutterfarkin' Grenock

Anyone else trying to read this in time with Jenny from block, or is it just me....

... Just me😆

So now the question becomes, what do I do with all the steel that I ordered wrong

The steel is too thick to make an effective cutter unless it was really wide which would make a silly knife unless it had some length to it. But it's perfect for a stabber. I think I'll do a dagger

What cutting and overall length you thinking, boss? UF-esque? I think that'd be a nice sweet spot. 6" of stabby goodness.

Prybars would be cool, too. With that thickness size, it does make sense to do a semi integral.
I'm still advocating for an all steel skinner from ya. That'd be mindblowing.

where's the love for spoons around here? I understand not loving knives, but who doesn't have a favourite spoon?

I had an "experience" once where the friend that I was sharing that "experience" with started talking about spoons, we got stuck on the subject for some time, ended up planning and opening a shop for spoons. Then the experience ended. 😆

FedEx has gone downhill significantly in the last year for me. They "delivered" one order for a pair of sneakers that was never delivered according to my Ring camera. Some random person dropped it off in my driveway 3 weeks later. My last package was delivered at the foot of my mailbox. Which is about 500 feet from my doorstep, which means anyone driving by could have just grabbed it.

So, I mentioned before, I messed up when I ordered the steel plate for the Kukri project and the plate is sized for the blade in the wrong orientation with the material grain running perpendicular to the part. I can fix this by changing the part layout in the sheet, which makes the sheet size larger and gets one and a half more blades in it. (we're going to have a special: off spec Kukris, half off) <----- that's a joke.

Which isn't great but it's a fix. But it's 16.5" and my 16X32 grinder can't deck the new larger sheet size. I've been wanting the next size up auto grinder and I've found what looks like a good used grinder, but it's about $70K. Which is steep just for this project and we really don't need to run big stuff like that frequently and I already have a bunch of automatic grinders here and I'm starting to think I just screwed up and I should just bite the bullet and order more steel instead and order it right this time and then I'm wondering what the hell do I do with this incorrectly sized steel because its's really thick and what do you make with a 6" blade that's 5/16" thick and then I got thinking about daggers again....

this has been a long week
Oh please do daggers. And just surprise us one weekly sale when they are complete

What benefit is there to that much thickness?

When I see a design like that. I ask myself, how would I improve that? Well, decking it down a little thinner would improve it. It is heavy in a design that doesn't work well with the weight. If I want something that hits with some authority, there's better ways to put that weight into the blade and just make it thick. If I want a reasonably sized knife that cuts well, I don't think I want it to be 5/16 of an inch thick. Quarter inch thick is pretty ridiculous on a knife that size and that's what we did with the SDFK. I simply can't envision a knife that size even thicker. Why? What is this design attempting to do? What purpose does it serve?
I love the SDFK. It is thick enough. I honestly don’t need any knife thicker than 1/4”. I have owned some knives that are just silly. Mega thick blades. They are not practical.
I am 100% on board with your dagger idea!

See this regularly at a massive apartment complex on my route. Instead of walking up a few extra steps they (and often every other carrier) will set the package in my mail area. Many don’t know the difference in carriers and will assume its me being a lazy turd. Often will go out of my way to knock for them to heads up the customer their package is in a hot zone (Im not allowed to touch em).

Many more where these came from. I tend to get defensive when people knock USPS. Shit workers everywhere period.

My 15-year-old boy walks up our road to get the mail. He enjoys his little walks and we appreciate him getting the mail. The neighbor's dog came over onto our property and bit the shit out of him. A lot of these aren't scratches these are gaping wounds that are 1/4-in deep.

I'm fucking pissed
