Random Thought Thread

Took my dog out for his weekend bumper retrieves and found this stuck in a tree. I would have tried to pull it out, but I'm not sure I'm ready to govern the kingdom of "Ozark Trail". Nor would I be a just ruler.

When I venture out of this sub lately it feels like there are a lot of people around this site that don't actually like blades...recent thread on "what knife do you carry hiking" that had a ton of content like "you're more likely to freeze to death so carry a tent" and "anyone who carries more than a swiss army knife is a moron." Like what are you doing here guys? If this was a hiking forum I'd get it but the site is Bladeforums...if you think knives are a huge waste of time what are you doing here?

Clearly, they're here for the arguments. (And the free popcorn.)

Off the wall ideas for 5/16" stock that probably makes no sense (& i have no clue if Nathan dislikes the design in general but i doubt he likes chisel grinds [even if they stab better])...but it could be a fun challenge.

1) A fixed blade Besh wedge-ish design similar to the Buck 850 design. (think of it more as a tradesman tool than a pure knife).
2) a more true Besh wedge design dagger.

where's the love for spoons around here? I understand not loving knives, but who doesn't have a favourite spoon?

I just remembered I have a favorite spoon and that I haven't seen in like 5 years. Wtf. I must've given it away, right? Someone who'd enjoy it's ladle size and length/balance more? Man, I do some hamboned shit sometimes.
