Ya' know, it's "Deer Season" here in Texas, and "perspective" can be a funny thing...

Many moons ago, my Cousin "Frank" (*a seasoned Hunter) told me that he preferred a really small knife to anything "large". Mind you, I watched my Dad (*RIP) work wonders, about a million times, with his trusty Buck 110...the ONLY knife I EVER saw him use over DECADES...but still had my own blade prejudices.

For my uses, these are "KNIVES"...

...then I saw Frank completely gut and dress a Whitetail with this midget...

Man, this tiny LT Wright mini 'Muk ^^^ is about 5" (*conservatively), bow to stern...and Frank had ZERO issues getting the job done.

For me, my little mini 'Muk has been one of my favorite "toy" blades. After watching Frank, I quickly realized that this ^^^ little knife isn't a toy.

I worked with a pulmonologist in San Antonio who shot a Blackbuck at a ranch just outside of town before rounding on patients. He forgot his bag with some gear (including his hunting knife), so he field dressed it with a #15 scalpel. That little Muk looks perfect for most critters.

Nice.

Do you recall, was it the "Guajillo Ranch"? (*Medina County...adjacent to Bexar County/San Antonio)

That was my Dad's ol' place, and he hosted a buttload of Hunters over the years.
