Random Thought Thread

Still waiting to see if Musk will BAN me from Twitter for "blocking" him. LOL! ;)

Actually, I'm suprised he hasn't already made it impossible for anyone on Twitter to do that.

Ooops! Better not give him any (more stupid) ideas to implement under his dictatorial "take over."

If he gave me THAT "ultimatum" as an employee -- "work harder or quit" -- I certainly would have quit. It's not that I never worked hard (I worked harder than most of the people that I worked with).

It wouldn't have been my first "take this job and shove it" moment. :)

It's just that no one wants to be threatened in that manner and I'm sure that a lot of very hard working former Twitter employees felt that way too. A very dumb "business" move. 🤫 Most business leaders want to build a team environment, not one in which you fear for your livelihood.

---------------------------------------

Did you also read the threat Musk issued to "supervisors" to prevent them from approving anyone of their subordinates from work "at home?"

He warned supervisors (impliedly under threat of firing) that they were NOT to approve anyone for "at home" work who was not an EXCEPTIONAL employee who is doing EXCEPTIONAL "work."

WFT does an EXECEPTIONAL emplyoee who does EXCEPTIONAL work look like? Talk about f*cking arbitrary. 🤷‍♂️

Thank you!

Yea, there's a solid chance I overpaid for that by at least a few hundred😅

I get rather emotional when I see old CPKs pop up that I've been lusting after. And I take that emotion out on my wallet, lol.

I've been pretty actively watching for either of the behemoth or the behemother choppers for about six months now, and this was the first one that I saw get listed. Where I still had a chance to buy it.

And I figured all the other behemoth or the behemother choppers out there are in people's collections and won't be leaving anytime soon.

This is definitely a buy once cry once deal for me😂
You're gonna love it! The chopping power is amazing (short of stepping up to a K18).

BTW; Not so random thought -

Paying attention to diet is a huge part of successfully achieving goals (in whichever direction).

In my case, as I've stated before, I've been actively trying to see how close I could get back to my peak strength/physical condition while my body is still able to make progress.

I'd been bummed about my strength and lean mass gains stalling out in the past months and was wondering if this was my limit, given that I'm trying to do this all-natural at my age, without TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy), and I've never used anabolic steroids.

Turns out, nope, I'm just an idiot who miscalculated by quite a bit when I switched my diet. Turns out I was eating 400-500 less calories than I thought I was. Bumped up my caloric intake the last week of October, and already seeing strength gains. 🙂

The Ultimatum was to work in the office instead of working from home.

Not sure if it's a dumb move. Anybody who quits (like you would), doesn't get 3 months severance.

Anyways, it's literally "not my (but Musk's) business" :) ... Carry on.

No, the edict I'm referring to is the warning he issued to supervisors regarding approving any employees for "at home" work. Look it up.

1) not so different from what I said, no ?
2) You might want to look it up yourself and pick other media than CNN, Wapo, etc.

A recording what he actually said was released by ABC News Thursday night, easy enough to find.

Can you imagine building a "team environment" with folks who don't know what sex they were born, are triggered by everything from George Washington-to-Christopher Columbus-to-the Confederate flag, and demand to work from home for four out of five days? Yeah, that would be my definition of "180* from exceptional".

Alpha, Mike, Foxtrot.

I’m so offended by this comment that I might have to go over to the Twitter headquarters and do yoga on the rooftop deck after I eat at one of the three cafeterias and after I get my soy latte mocha frap and free brownie from the indoor coffee shop.
