Thanks! No one here knew who he was. I Googled after your response. Looks like he was a rally (?) racer, which probably explains why no one I asked had ever heard of him since I don't know anyone who follows that. Seems ironic that someone like that would die crashing his snow mobile. Anyway, condolences to his family, friends, and fans. RIP.Famous racecar driver. Very talented. Otherworldly brain speed and skills
Kenneth Paul Block was an American professional rally driver with the Hoonigan Racing Division, formerly known as the Monster World Rally Team. Block was also one of the co-founders of DC Shoes. He also competed in many action sports events, including skateboarding, snowboarding, and motocross. Thanks! No one here knew who he was. I Googled after your response. This is, objectively, pretty ridiculous
It's also fascinating
Always been a fan of his (and all the videos. Quite a rabbithole to jump down if one has the time). His death hits close to home, so I’m not making light of it…but, I doubt his sled crash was, small.
Very cool! Are those mooring bouys?Meanwhile, my Wednesday is starting great! Vacation in riviera maya, Mexico Last trip here. Beautiful weather so far View attachment 2035352
Nope, just drop off points, mooring for scuba boats is off to the right. Damn Dos Equis wherever I turn. 2:15 and I need a nap.Very cool! Are those mooring bouys?
Huge bummer, all the crazy stuff he does, and the snow mobile gets him. He will be missed by many.Always been a fan of his (and all the videos. Quite a rabbithole to jump down if one has the time).
Although he'd been riding with friends that weekend, he was alone when the accident that killed him occurred. One website showed a photo of the actual slope where he was found, and it was steep, but pretty open.
Seems the snowmobile (a Ski Doo Summit X Turbo. 180hp) upended and landed on him. ~450lbs. That's enough to cause crush injuries, but more likely; ***Just speculation*** asphyxiation (meaning if he hadn't been alone, other riders rushing to his aid and getting him out from under it might possibly have saved him)
that Folder in the background looks pretty good, too. This was pretty good

I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.
I am down with a daily dose of enlightenment as well. here is one from one of my favorite luminaries......Fonedork
Here's another person I read a quote from every morning .... his book is my favorite book ever
there is nothing outside of yourself that can ever enable you to get better, stronger, richer, quicker, or smarter. Everything is within. Everything exists. Seek nothing outside of yourself
