I was just looking at Sadie dog

She has really let herself go

She lies there like a wad of chewed up bubble gum. Emitting a small but steady stream of smelly gas.

This once athletic dog now has the physique of a used ear plug. And she's only 11 years old. I remember when I was 11 years old. I was in much better shape. She has not taken very good care of herself.

Skyler will be turning 11 this year and is pretty darn fit and athletic still. I am concerned about a large hard lump I've noticed about midway on the right side of her rib cage. Not floating rib and not soft/gelatinous. Feels quite solid.

Guess I'll be calling the vet in a bit.

Forgot to post a pic yesterday (some touch up, light gray and white added)

Arm is a bit irritated in the pic..... but I'm happy with this section so far!!!!

I'll try to get a better pic later
That’s turning into a beautiful work of art, Yoko ! Tats and knives….hell yeah !!!

So, from reading a bunch of vet sites, it seems that lipomas (up to the sizes of oranges) are common in the rib area of dogs, especially as they age, and are completely benign, painless, and rarely cause issues. So, that's something to hope for. Fingers crossed.

Bella has something that sounds very similar that is benign, I hope it's the same case for you
