Random Thought Thread

My dog had some lumps on her belly that I was convinced were benign lipomas, but they turned out to be malignant mast cell tumors, so it's wise to have any lumps on your dogs checked sooner, rather than later. My girl Sadie (9 1/2 years old) has had three different surgeries now to remove mast cell skin tumors, but she has one in her anus that's inoperable, so she's also on chemotherapy with Chlorambucil to try to slow the tumors down. But I just noticed a new lump on her belly, so I suspect that we'll need to plan on another surgery in the not-too-distant future. But she's still a sweetheart and doesn't seem to be too bothered by the chemotherapy and is still enjoying life.
Quality of life is paramount.

Not looking good fellas. I gave more details in the "pet thread". I don't want to sidetrack the conversation here any further than I already have.

Thank you all for your good thoughts for our little gal.

Soooo there's been some crazy highway construction on the way I take home..... the way they have redirected on ramps into fast moving traffic is dangerous and I told my wife "people are going to get hurt".....

This is the 3rd semi accident (not counting the car accidents)

I'm guessing a car hit the semi fuel tank then ping ponged on the concrete barriers while the truck caught fire....

Getting a needle straight into your knee joint is fun....not.

On the other hand, the doc told me I'll probably feel "amped up" from the steroid for the next 48 hours and have a hard time sleeping, so I've got that to look forward to. 😂
At least the doc warned you. 🤣Many times they don’t warn people at all including diabetics who have crazy high readings afterwards. The injections can really help with pain, but keep in mind that the underlying cause is still there so don’t push too hard just because you feel better. Stay safe.

If you're a real man...take (a) needle(s) to your willy and live to tell the tale.

For sure, and the doc and I talked about exactly that today. I'm giving the steroid shot a try, and seeing how the next couple months go, and if the underlying problem hasn't gotten better, then we'll start talking about the next option. I definitely don't want to make a habit of getting steroid shots every couple months over the long term.
If they get the needle into the right spot the relief is fantastic. If they don't you have to wait 3 -4 months for them to try again.
Ask me how I know........😖
Yeah, here's hoping they got it in the right place! Certainly isn't feeling better so far, in fact it's aching quite a bit tonight. But nothing a little Four Roses won't fix. ;)

On a lighter note....

My youngest had a different person than usual cut his hair......

Before i seen him he had shame in his voice... he took a seat at the dinner table to eat with us ............ I look up and this was all I could see

He said "at least my hair grows fast"

I had to walk outside laughing
