Random Thought Thread

Why is it that I have no problems forking out ~ 500ish for any CPK from the Mothership (and far more for their sweet semi-custom preorders) on any given day and twice on any Sunday, yet I torture myself mentally when it comes to a $300 axe (Brant & Cochran) put in my shopping cart, agonize over it for a few minutes and then just like Nah and empty the cart?
I made the final installment payment on my middle daughter's braces. Am I a bad parent for thinking how many guns or knives I could have purchased?

Not that I ever let that thought come out vocally.

We did Invisalign for my son, I think he is on the final stretch now. They aren't braces but I couldn't be happier with the investment, it's made a world of difference for him.

My older 2 daughters had braces. My youngest (son) has Invisalign. When he complains about how they hurt, both his sisters give him an earful telling him how much easier he has it. :D

Do you know how’s he doing? I miss him too.🤔👍

Sadly, I don't Martin 😥

I messaged Dan about a half dozen times since April 2021 when his profile shows as his last activity. We used to talk and text often before he completely vanished. He was very supportive and communicative in early 2021 (in Jan) just after I lost my GSD as I was with Dan when he lost his Gypsy the dog the prior year which I know was really really rough on him. I have his family's last name and whereabouts in that part of IA and also where he worked but honestly I didn't want to intrude any further. I am hoping that wherever he is, he is fine and maybe just lost interest in the hobby. That kinda stuff has also happened with some of the OGs but at least I do keep in touch with those who no longer show up in here.

Is it because Nathan has some superpower and magical hold over me? Is it because I am convinced that my secret stash of CPKs will one day make me a gazzilionair? Is it because some of you are bloated with gas? This last one is an outlier but still a valid preponderance!
Hahaha this! So relatable

Look at the strife you're causing casino, Nathan! Make this poor fella an axe already.

Drizzt Do'Urden!

Funny story. I met R.A. Salvatore at a book signing for The Legacy in high school. I think a total of 5 people (including my brother and I) showed up, so I was able to talk to him for quite a bit. Obviously, I asked him how to pronounce Drizzt (Drits) and Guenhwyvar (like Guinevere with a -var).
100% said it wrong for years. When I finally learned how to say his name I questioned my childhood. I loved those books.
