"Ford has a better idea." I remember those ads when I was a teen.

My dad had a '63 Galaxie 500 with a 390 that he loved. I think that was the only Ford he ever owned.

I had an Eddie Bauer (V-8) edition Explorer. Very comfortable vehicle with nice amenities but when I needed the 4WD it was nowhere to be found. I sold it right afterward to my UPS driver and got a 4Runner. Never looked back.

Not ours, but also the "champagne" edition like his. It was like a quasi gold color. This pic makes it look greener.

Nice. My Pops had a '65 Galaxie. Went to a lit of drive-in movies in that car.

It's a small comfort but I was wrong . . .

My PGE bill this month (for last month) actually went DOWN! This month's bill is ONLY $746.75. It was $787.51 last month. LOL!!!!

An unusually cold winter in the SF Bay Area has a lot to do with it but that really doesn't explain why my utitiliy bill jumped over 300% this year. And, I'm not the only one affected in this way.

It's happening all over CA and, of course, PGE says they're not to blame (and only pass thru the cost of natural gas) but what ever the reason, whether it's gas at the pump or natural gas in the pipes for some reason we in California ALWAYS seem to pay more and no one has yet explained why. 🤷‍♂️

I'm just hoping for warmer weather soon. 🙏

The CA grid is a mess. And yet the CA legislature is encouraging people to "electrify" everything at the same time. Where to begin...

The doctor told me it's VD, so I'm off to buy some chocolates and a card.
If your doctor just told you that you have a VD, I don't think chocolates and a card is going to be good enough. You should be looking for something two-door, convertible, fast, and with BMW written on it somewhere.

^ sensationalist nonsense
Yeah, it's nonsense. Been following it since it occurred. It did indeed release a lot of noxious gases, but the derailment occurred because of a bad bearing. Pictures have surfaced of the wheel red hot, then on fire.

There is an investigation into the safety warning system in place to detect such issues, and the cimmercial complacency regarding it, due to 'get-there-itis' (i.e. the warnings are often ignored because the train can usually get there despite a problem wheel).

The controlled detonation was done by a special team because several of the tanker cars were In imminent danger of a BLEVE (Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion), from fires resulting from the derailment. They correctly chose a controlled release of pressure. A BLEVE would have REALLY been disastrous.

I'm just curious if everyone in ohio is good?

Also wondering why the crash isn't on the news but bullshit UFO junk is coming out at the exact same time.

seems odd. I'm not in ohio and cant confirm so I'm asking.

all I'm saying.
The crash was reported on CNN and several other major news networks, including the controlled detonation (they didn't blow up the tanker cars, they used shaped charges to blow small holes to release the pressure BEFORE the fires and rising pressure resulted in a BLEVE, and to drain the chemicals into a ditch where they could do containment cleanup, vs been blown into a giant gas cloud, destroying the town).

This is just my opinion but I would not and will not be buying ANYTHING from FCA/Dodge/Ram/Chrysler 2019 and newer. All the 1500s now have known electronic problems very many, to the motor, transmission and Uconnect screens. they had to recall all the CP4 fuel pumps on 2019 and 2020 Cummins. The 68rfe has a active recall now on newer 2500 and 3500s. And there’s about 300 people with broken K1 snap rings in the Aisin transmissions on the newer 3500 Cummins. I don’t know what’s going on but FCA Ram has dropped the ball and is a complete Clown show right now. This is all why I won’t let my wife trade in her 2017 1500, and exactly why I bought a 2014 2500. No problems!!!

Man, and I’m totally not meaning to sound like I’m tagging on you Mr Doc, I’m not. I’m just been a member on Ram and Cummins forums, and there is literally hundreds of nightmare stories of exactly what you just described, from all 1500, 2500 and 3500 Ram trucks. I hope they get it sorted out, if not 30 days waiting for parts or at the dealership and you can claim Lemon Law.

I seriously have to wonder, if a truck manufacturer offered a "1970 Heritage Model" with no electronics, manual windows, bench seat, V8 and perhaps most importantly - manual transmission.....I bet it would sell like hotcakes. Just a basic, stripped down truck with plenty of power and no BS. I'd buy one.

I’d buy one. I almost bought my first ever Ford a few years ago but I didn’t. Kind of wished I had. It was a 1974 four speed f100 or something, had a 400 ci motor. (Yes I just admitted I almost bought a ford, once) 😂 It was a sweet little farm truck.
