I want nothing to do with it, I promised I’d ask is all.View attachment 2090277
I could swear that some people I know, use those to make decisions, based on how arbitrary the decisions are, and how there's no logic, rationale or pattern that can be gleaned from past decisions.

I've come to the determination that jet fuel cannot melt steel beams.

-My AI chat bot

I can melt steel beams with coal and air.

Does jet fuel burn at a lower temperature than coal?

Just asking. Sometimes those chat boxes hallucinate...

can you melt steel beams, like the ones in skyscrapers? to make the skyscraper collapse underneath where the jet fuel was burning?

when do you want to melt a steel construction beam with coal? can I watch?

that might be fun. I'll bring the beer.

You didn't mention skyscrapers before. I now understand where you are coming from, didn't before.

For me, not the right thing to discuss or joke about on a knife forum.

On a lighter random note…a woman was walking her dog on a sidewalk and did not see that a moose was running up from behind her. Knocked her down but otherwise unscathed woman and dog. Tons of snow this year which causes the moose to look for easier travels meaning roads, sidewalks, and trails. A friendly one approached me last week in my yard where it is cleared enough to browse.
Heading to cabin tomorrow and hoping for no excitement with snow removal chores and travels.
Stay safe everyone!

The DEK3 are the last on a machine but they will be coming off here in a few weeks, they're almost done.

Right now our challenge is getting Magna cut how I want it. We are experiencing some unanticipated challenges scaling up our results into higher volume production. We are still working the problem.
How do you determine if the HT is a success or not when you outsource them? Do you take a few blanks and test them or is there another way?

Back to your regularly scheduled random thoughts…

Your grandma’s old, Avocado green toilet doesn’t have a modern-day flapper valve, and you might just have to fab something up to work when all the guts fail. Exploded fill valve replaced, and in the case of the flapper, I removed the rotted rubber flapper, drilled out the screw hole, and managed to pull the nipple of a new flapper through the old arm. It worked. 😎 Damned emergencies though!

Folks this isn't an attempt at humor. It's one of the conspiracy theories. Don't get your shorts in twist.

Yes, I'm sure I could melt a 20,000 pound steel beam with coal and air if I wanted to put the time and resources into it. But I can't swing that scale for you.

If you want to try melting steel with coal, you can build a brake drum forge and try it.

I'll remind you, the coke steel making process melts a lot more than 20,000 lbs with coal. How do you think they convert ore to metal?

You can heat up a paper clip to glowing hot with a bic lighter.

There's a lot of heat energy in 30,000 pounds of fuel.
