He didn't lay a finger on them, right? Ir even threaten to? Just what you consider to a be a moment of pretty bad parenting with pretty bad language?I went to Costco early this morning and when I was headed to the back I witnessed/heard a man (who I assume was the father) "lecturing" his kids (a young boy & girl around 3-4 yrs old each sitting in a shopping cart) about the "value" of $ by repeatedly telling them that he bought them this and that for X "fucking" dollars because they (or at least one of them) apparently, had the audacity to ask him to buy something for them that he didn't want to buy.
A woman (who I assume was his wife) was standing right next to him while he was doing this and didn't say a thing. Probably because she's learned not to challenge him. So, sad.
I was tempted to stop to ask him to stop doing that but: 1) I'm not an active duty cop anymore, 2) I didn't have a gun on me and 3) didn't have any backup.
I've been involved in such situations before and they always get ugly and, w/o the authority of law behind me and w/o backup, I figured it was a "no win" situation and (I'm not proud to say that) I just moved on.
What would you have done?
Then unless you're prepared to raise the kids as your own, mind your own effin' business.
