I think the first time I ever visited Thailand, was in the 70s (maybe early 80s). Vacation with the family on one of those packaged tours.

One of the nights was a 'Dinner and a show' deal. The dinner was good. During the show, my brother and I are going, "Uhhh... pretty sure that one's a dude. And that one too".

My mom laughs and says, "They're all 'dudes''"

"Whaaaa...? No way THAT ones a dude. Or THAT one".

"They're all males. That's what this place is known for".

Oh, more naivete on my part.

Same trip, the tour bus is heading to the hotel in Bangkok, and I'm looking out the window of this new and interesting city, and remark, "Huh, Thai people must REALLY love their pets".

My mom goes, "What makes you say that?".

"We've passed at least 12 VD clinics. That one street alone had 5. That's Veterinarian Doctor, right?"

When people who are CLEARLY men participate in womens sports and clean up with no one saying anything it matters.

Men are men and women are women and there is no in between and it matters.

THE TRUTH MATTERS.

My children are going to grow up in a crazy world unless people start seeing the difference between truth and lies. I dont have much hope for that though.

It's scary to me to think of what people are capable of when they accept the truth as lies and lies as the truth.

I'm going to shut up about it now.
