Not a happy camper. Neighbor's pit ran out and attacked my dog again tonight around 6pm. I beat that dog with an Irish Blackthorn and kicked it and didn't break it loose. Finally got it broken up after a the owner and the neighbors she was sitting with came over to help.

I told her, (the owner), that the next time would be the last time as I would put the dog down. (The stick and the kicks did shit.) The next time will be a more permanent solution if pepper spray doesn't do the trick. (Gotta cover my ass.)

Made a report to Animal Control through the Sheriff's Office.

Skyler's okay. Lacerations in one ear, a cut under her jaw and a little blood on chest and paw. I bet that Pit is feeling it tonight, but not as bad as it will be if it ever happens again.
That messed up. I’ve had similar issues and my neighbors are 1/2 mile away. Luckily they have moved on. It really changes the vibe of hanging out in the outdoors with your dogs when you have to be on your toes looking for a threat. This thing isn’t the best solution because you have to be closely involved but if it’s a dog that holds on and won’t let go it will break their grip. Not to say it won’t bite you or your dog again. Glad to hear your pup isn’t worse off, E . Also glad you got to put that Irish Blackthorn to use where it was needed.

Sounds to me like the neighbors need some lessons on civic duty and responsible pet ownership. Sometimes I feel like those lessons should be taught in braille. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Wish you the best with the entire ordeal.

Sorry to hear about what happened E! Glad to hear that Skylar is doing better despite the circumstances. When you said again, idk you'd probably had good cause to finish it this time around. Glad your all safe now though.

The snow is finally melting here due to the rain. I don’t know how you guys that have snow all winter do it. We were definitely not ready for it here. We’ve had the National Guard, Coastguard, and Calfire all flying helicopters and dropping hay the the cattle up in the hills where there is normally graze this time of year and the roads were impassable to transport hay. It was nice of them to help out in what was a unique situation for everyone.
