Ahhh...

...nothing says spring is here like pulling and hosing off the septic filter after another year of use.

That reminds me I need to run some tank sprinkles tomorrow. Gonna have to pee outside it looks like. Stuff puts you toilet out of commission for like 8 hours (at least thats what the bag says), but I'm not entirely sure it's necessary.

On April 11/23 my daughter gave birth to twins!!! A girl (15:23) and boy (15:24). Aurora Anne was 5lbs13oz and Jaxon Alexander was 6lbs3oz. They are about 4 weeks early as was her first born in Oct of 2021.
They are both healthy and doing well!! Learning to bottle feed but assisted with a feeding tube.
I am a very HAPPY and lucky Papa!!

Double Congrats!!!

Praytell . . . how bored would one have to be to find himself reading university research on septic systems?

🤣

After having a small septic back-up episode one time, that kind of boredom...

(We didn't know about the layout of the system early on, the effluent filter in the t-baffle, or even where the tank was.)

Knowledge is power. (That was 17 years ago and we haven't needed any additives to keep the system running. Though I do recommend hosing off the filter.)

Congratulations on the family additions!

If you read most university research on septic systems, they don't recommend any additives to the system.

Waste of money...and everyone knows that we need every extra buck around these parts... 🤣
Well damn.. never had to mess with a septic tank until recently (bought the house about a year and a half ago). Guess I'll have to read up on that. Thanks for the heads up 😁

Man what a beast that is, I’m looking forward to some chopping pics.
You will not be disappointed! I plan to use this thing for sure.

I came to the conclusion recently that I wanted a big knife small knife combo for all my favorite makers to actually use.

So I'm selling all the ones just taking up room in my safe.
