Random Thought Thread

Can't really tell by the pic , I thought the wheel wobble when the car was on jack stands was just the hub, but once I pulled the wheel off after just buying just the hub (rookie mistake) I noticed the outer tie rod boot was dry rotted and play in that also... then noticed all the grease thrown around by the cv shaft

That pic was milliseconds before I wanted to throw something lol
idk what these things mean and it makes my pp feel smol

Im a Bulls fan so I saw him come off the bench during his rookie season during garbage time and the way he came out during that insignificant play Ill never forget. Had Rose stayed healthy man that team would of done damage.

Agreed , Luol Deng was injured Jimmy was playing pretty much full games without much rest (if I remember right)

But the story of him taking on the Timberwolves starters in practice and crushing them is probably my favorite

This still cracks me up

Game Two . . . and . . .

Tkachuk for the win again. Only one OT this time.

Hockey is a funny ol' game. Panthers won the President's Trophy last year . . . and were vanquished in the second round. They barely made the playoffs at all this year, as the last seed in the East, and now they are two home games away from the Stanley Cup Finals.
Yeah, it was a great back and forth game. Carolina must really feel snakebit by that balls-up in the corner taking both of their defense pair out of the play that led to the OT goal.

The Panthers feel like a team of destiny. I haven't even rummaged the garage to find our rats and pucks from the '96 season while we were still living down there and rooting them on.

The Rangers were one of the few President's Trophy winning teams that went on to win the Cup in '94. (For which Messier and company will always have a special place in my heart.)

(The Rangers were two games from the finals last year. But they were plum worn out from a brutal schedule that left them with little in reserve. Even Jon Cooper commented on it after the series.)

LOL!

But hey, the Wolves and Bulls had company. Sixers fans almost unanimously wanted the Sixers to keep Tobias Effin Harris over Jimmy. In four years in Miami, Jimmy has taken them to the conference finals three times. And on the brink of a second NBA Finals. In that period, the Wolves, Bulls and Sixers have zero conference finals appearances between them.

Fun Fact: oddsmakers still have Baaaaaawstan as the favorite to win the Eastern Conference over Miami.

Nailed it!

It'll be epic if the heat can pull a sweep

That is crazy.

I remember about 20 years ago when bottles of this sat in a display case at my local ABC store collecting dust. I believe they were asking around 90 bucks, which I considered insane at that time. And apparently from the dust . . . so did everyone else. Shelves were full of other terrific bourbons like Weller, Blanton's, Elmer T. Lee, and my favorite at that time, Elijah Craig 18 YO, for a lot less money. I believe Elijah Craig 18 cost about 40 bucks.

I have no idea what happened. When the hell did all these neophytes decide to start drinking bourbon - and especially high end bourbons? But I never see any of those bourbons on the shelf any more, except Elmer T. Lee and Blanton's VERY rarely. Hell, I don't even see Buffalo Trace any more, and just a very few years ago it would line a couple of shelves. Fortunately, I still have a few bottles of good stuff - including two unopened bottles of Van Winkle 12 YO, which apparently goes for several hundred dollars a bottle now.

The whole world has gone mad.
The internet has made the whole world gone mad.

I know it's not an fk, but I've been using it a bit more lately and I've gotta say I think you might be onto something with this one, Mr. Carothers.

Are the Celtics still the oddsmakers' favorites? Wouldn't surprise me. That green Kool-aid tastes good.

They just might. Funny thing is . . . the Heat actually look like a better team.
