I have both the DEK1 and FK2, and my personal take is that they're both very comfortable and capable, but for bushcraft/woodwork, the FK2's handle has a distinct advantage for any extended use that requires applying more pressure.
The FK2's handle is shaped to reduce hand fatigue and minimize pressure points/hotspots when applying more pressure while doing things like carving, shaving kindling and making feathersticks.
That said, I find the slimmer handle of the DEK1 (and the original FK1) less obtrusive, especially for scout carry, so it really depends on use case. If I just want a knife for EDC, to have a capable knife if I need one, the DEK1 fits that role perfectly.
OTOH, if I KNOW that I'll be shaving kindling and doing bushcraft where I'll be applying more pressure, I take the FK2 (and if I'm heading into the boonies, where I know chopping/splitting wood might/will be involved, I take the MC and a Silky saw).
