OK then, 70 units preordered including post # 58. This is a nice and easy marker to remember. Tallying up at the next significant marker will be your task :p but have a feeling that Nathan will close this book by Tuesday.
 
I did not go back further down the preorder thread to see if anyone else had added, subtracted or even dropped out other than post # 57. So now I'm counting 79 HDFK units including post # 66 by Petey2.1, although with the amount of words and color commentary which SpyderFreak had written in his post, I should've really counted at least 3 orders for him :p :D

Edited to add: with 20 units offered in the Friday's sale and almost 80 units pledged for in the second run of the HDFK preorder (still open). it's a fantastic feat for a small knife manufacturing Co like CPK to be able to both fetch and also deliver within a very reasonable amount of time, on such high demands generated in a mere handful of days. Many, many moons ago when I was among the very fist to score an HDFK, upon receiving it I had predicted that this pattern would be a monster hit. Very well done Jo, Nathan, Lorien and Mark.

Thanks for posting that reminder Tommy, as most folks would've probably missed it since Nathan's revision does not show as a new post on that thread.

Nathan has extended this one for a reasonable amount of time so anyone sitting on the fence who already knows about this, will still have a chance to make up their minds and those who visit the Forum and the subforum infrequently will miss out, so their only other option to acquire one will still be on Fridays sales and also Blade 2018 till the pattern is retired probably in this year!

I guess the last little bit of that post was OT (and I can delete if it's truly frowned upon), but I stand by the rest. It's clear what I want, unlike some of the shorter posts.

PS - That was a late-night, semi-drunk post, so cut me a little slack! ;)

PPS - 4 more ordered after P2.1's post, if you're keeping track. :thumbsup:

Nah man, don't need to edit it... We're a pretty cool crowd in here and understand such concerns as inevitably most of us have been afflicted with such in one form or another, coming one there from other makers!

A couple or few things:

1- posts made when angst and alcohol are involved are gold as the old saying goes, "in vino veritas" ;)

2- Nathan is a pretty lousy capitalist himself as he repeatedly discourages against paying upfront for knives. He had to be arm twisted into preorders plus he saw the wisdom in such practice as long as it does not become rampant and unfettered, because that's one way which he can curb the other aspiring capitalists making EUGE margins off CPK in the secondary!

3- and lastly, I never count on Sunday eves simply because that's one overtime when Nathan can't afford my services otherwise always offered pro bono :P
 
S'all good! :thumbsup: Honestly, I probably wouldn't have jumped on that pre-order w/o the liquid encouragement, so I'm not regretting a thing! :D

Now the wait begins. :eek: At least I'm conditioned for that. Lol! ;)
