There is neither a “L” nor a “B”…….

Would it be possible to manufacture another smaller/batch run of DEK3 (D3V) blanks to send out for heat treat?
80%... wow...Anything is possible, but that's not very practical. This is why we make twice as much as we need because going back to make extra is a real problem. This is the first time in my knife making career, and actually in my entire career in manufacturing, that I've ever seen an 80% reject rate. I could not have planned for this. I am going to cut my losses.
I'm done with it and I'm moving into the next stage of Shiv production instead.
Hence the modifier of my statement “still”Libra pondo.

It’s of ancient Roman origin, and the lb are in libra…..the entire portion dropped from modern vernacular. Yet we still use it….
I believe it had something to do with the specific heat (or batch) of steel being used and not the dimensions.80%... wow...
So something about the thinner blanks is making that big of a difference somewhere in the heat treat process?
Oh yeah, if they were so smart, why were they trying to sail their boat here? Sailing under the influence?Well gosh. I mean, the Romans were pretty cool. IMHO.

No TKO's will be permitted as long as our champion(s) is / are standing.I am sorry to hear this Nathan. A major setback for you (and me since the DEK3 in Magnacut is the only DEK version I pre-ordered.) I hope you are having a better yield outcome on the K20’s. One knockdown is rough. Two knockdowns might TKO me.

I like Fridays...... and technically it is here in Ohio right now lolHad a random thought perusing the CPK same threads. But sometimes it’s better to not say anything at all.Tomorrow is Friday!
