Taking care of family and financial need takes precedence over everything else
Yeah, but a vacation isn't really a need. So I still felt a bit guilty about it after all the hard feelings I've had over flippers with faster inter webs than me snagging knives in sales that they don't actually care about. It's not the same, for sure. But it's close enough that I won't do it again.

Pondered what number it would take to liquidate my CPK collection while grilling venison burgers today. #knifeforumlife

Since I’ve run my mouth a bit today…for the record, I don’t begrudge anyone getting all the cash they can get from a sale.

Hope all y’all are enjoying a beautiful Sunday. I’m just relaxing enjoying time with the family. Life is good.
Life's good!

Took about 4.5 hours using body hammers,a sledge hammer, reaming bits to assemble a functioning smoker out of the 2 I recieved so I can donate it to the local fire department

I hope it'll make them happy

Right on man, that is absurd what it took to make that happen, but 👊🏼 brother. That is cool.

Oh it was interesting, soon as I bolted the hopper on .... the welds (guess you can call them that) gave out and the leg started bending out tipping the smoker ... luckily I had my vehicle jack next to me and I threw it under and swapped the leg out

So was it a combination of FedEx being rough with it and it kinda being a pos?

Tough to really tell....... 95% of the problem is from fed ex .... I was a bit intrigued when the garbage weld gave out on the leg though ....I did not run the burn in on it or anything else so I can not speak much for any of the electronic driven parts

If you look close at the leg that failed.... the welds didn't penetrate the other part of the leg.... it could've been the coating holding it together lol

That does it!

I'm dumping my DEK2, a half can of Cope, an empty .750 bottle of Jack (*missing plastic cap), and a full plastic dispenser of Tic-Tacs for $3500.

*I woulda' priced it at $2100, but it has the machined/Titanium screws.
Depending on how far along your unit is at NTC and how long it's been since anyone made it to the PX, a half can of Cope might well make that package attractive to at least a dozen E-4s.

On the other hand, I feel like a lot of the markup on a boot dagger is paying for the fact that the person selling it will never find another.

Anyone dumb enough to sell a boot dagger for any less than $1500 deserves to be taken advantage of, if for no other reason than inadvertently undervaluing my stockpile of 40 or 50 of them.

Can’t remember how many I have left.

You also have your retirement savings in CPKs? I knew I was on the right track!
