Party plates?Question for the other Buckeyes around here.
View attachment 2326422
Saw this car on my drive home and when I noticed the license plate I began to wonder if the name we had for them around Columbus was state wide or just local.
They are very special license plates. The only way to get them is to be awarded them.
Do you know what achievement is necessary to obtain these license plates?
Did the part of Ohio you’re from have a name for these plates?

Or anyone that lived or went to school in Ohio may know and is welcome to answer.
Or anybody.
Whatever.
Anyone ever take pictures of the new vintage or Crusty vintage micarta?
That’s correct.Party plates?
Party plates here tooThat’s correct.
But then the question becomes did you pick that up in Columbus or northeastern Ohio?
Growing up the son of a spook and living in some dangerous places, I still look under and in a vehicle prior to getting in one, and I even lock the doors at my remote cabin!I'm from NYC. I always lock the house and the truck...Mayberry or not.
That concept is pretty greatParty plates here too
I never want that award! Hahaha
No.NE Ohio for sure.
My friend circle had a long running connection with OU Athens. We adapted a few things from there.
Are you a Cardinal puff?
I’ve met people from Toledo that talk “normal” and I’ve met others that definitely have some Chicago in their speech.Cap’n Smudge
The oldest went to college at whittenburg (think that's near you) and was told constantly he had an accent
Is this a real thing??????
He told me that and I was mind blown lol

Everybody thinks I sound like I’m from southern Ohio, including my family. But that’s probably just an artifact of my hearing impairment and learning to talk late. They have a bit of southern in their accent around Dayton compared to Columbus. I went to school up in Cleveland before dropping out and beginning my slow downward spiral… I mean… my career. They all thought Columbus people sounded like we were from Kentucky. It’s all really subtle differences but you notice them initially and then not so much as you’re around them.
#stillnotnatahn but I think that this has more to do with the hollow grind DEK3 blade sucking up lots of CPK's man-hours (Mark-Hours). Although DEK3-MC's scrap rate was exceptionally high (IIRC Nathan had said ~ 80%) note that in the recent BFK/FK3 preorder, no hollow grind option was offered although previously during some Fridays sales, ~ 25 or so BFKs in Cruwear were offered with hollow grind finish.
