You should see my setup when doing diversity and anti-harassment classes .... Needs more than 3 CPKs.

Just picked up my partially, newly repainted F250. :)

Repainting the roof & hood (plus some touch up on the windshield wiper blades & lower bumper valance) only cost $3k, including the installation of new parts that I bought separately which cost about another $500.

Other estimates were over $6k when the shop deigned to provide one. Some shops said they ONLY do insurance work and didn't even want to give me an estimate and when they did they all said it would be "cheaper" to just buy a new hood than repaint it. WTF!!!??? The shop I chose repainted it just fine. 🤷‍♂️

The new parts included: a new OEM grill, new aftermarket foglights, new aftermarket headlight & turn signal casings, a new 3rd rear brake/bed light & mirror control unit.

The color match was excellent but, unfortunately, they overtaped the roof and left a 1/8 x 1" sliver of the roof unpainted next to a piece of vinyl moulding on top of the roof. :(

It's annoying but not that noticeable. Asked them to repaint the corner moulding, which probably would have avoided the problem but said that they couldn't do that because they couldn't "strip it" & the paint probably wouldn't hold. 🤷‍♂️

Bringing it back to them tomorrow to touch it up & to get some left over touch up paint too.

This is what the truck looked like before. Amazing what a little paint & a few new parts can do!!! ;)

So, despite the missed spot, I'm pretty happy with the overall transformation of the truck considering what it looked like before.

Nice, hope you get plenty of more years out of it!

Thanks! I'm keeping the truck until I die which hopefully won't be for a while longer. ;)

I may eventually repaint the right side of the cab & the right front bumper which for some reason show significant sun damage, while the left side does not. Got a ballpark figure of $2k more to do that but I'm in no rush to do it any time soon.

The next project is my 2008 BMW 335i. Want to buy new headlights and an M-style front bumper cover for it which will cost about $2k for the lights, cover and painting.

Then I'd like to repaint the hood on my 2012 MB ML350 and my 2002 Toyota MR2 Spyder which both show a lot of road dings which will cost about another $1k each.

So, I've already got about $4k of "other projects" ahead of doing any more to the F250. 🤷‍♂️

Very random: cop just pulled someone over in front of the house, and when the cop got out and got close to the car, they took off, hitting (more like rubbing) the back corner of a car that was passing by it all. Was expecting the cop to run back to his Explorer and tear ass after them, but nope, he just casually walked back and pulled away.
