Random Thought Thread

The truck is 7 or 8 years old and relatively low miles (68k). I don't know how long I will own it, (that depends on how well it serves me). I don't ever like to half-ass something but I also don't like to go way out into left field either? It is rusty and it can't stay like this but I'm not sure how much effort is necessary to get a good long-term workable fix.
Wouldn't know it by the lead-chain-cuttin, light-stamp-havin blades you turn out  😆

Harbor Freight has cheap HVLP and LVLP spray guns for around $20 if you have a large enough compressor to handle that much area and want to spray it and just toss the gun after.
I think the spray gun situation is figured out

And I will say those harbor freight guns spray decent for the price they just don't last

Nice suggestion!

That was a coating I have heard of but never tried thank you!

I'll talk to my supply guy when he comes in next to get his thoughts !!!!
We hand stripped my buddies 70 Judge down to metal. Lots of pizza and beer was used lol. We cleaned the metal with Capt Lee’s metal cleaner (?) Then applied silver rust bullet to the whole shell. The body shop then did the body work and paint. Car still looks good, I’ll have to see if I can dig up pics.
Zinga is a zinc paint , another good product. But we’ve only used it for trailers, plows, construction / farm stuff. I don’t know if I’d use it for automotive bodywork, frames maybe.
Master coat is another Por15 type product that works very well. Still I like rust bullet
