Random Thought Thread

Last Friday was my birthday and I was doing some filets up in cast iron skillets, I had 4 filets going at the same time and I'd had a smidgen to drink. The timer went off for the medium rare filets and I grabbed an Ove Glove to use like a pot holder for the final flip. I grabbed the skillet, realized I was getting burnt, kept a hold so I could flip the steaks anyways, then let go. A second degree burn, the gift that keeps on giving.

Happy belated Birthday!

Those photos in the kitchen are great!

BTW, just to be clear, you got that burn THROUGH the oven mitt?

Nope, I grabbed the mitt and wrapped it around the handle instead of putting it on my hand and it wasn't covering everything.

15 days later the damn thing finally popped. I was drawing up a Shiv sheath design and actually thought the roof was leaking or something for a second. No worries Fonedork Fonedork I have more paper.

Ahhhh that’s gross. Can’t believe you didn’t pop it sooner, it looked like having at least an egg stuck to your palm! That steak looked like it might be worth it though.

I had a lot of weird looks and questions with my hand wrapped up, I told them all that if I had to do it over again I'd burn both hands for that steak. Totally worth it.

Ah, ouch.

I don't have one of your sheaths yet, but having seen your work, you need to be more cautious with those hands man! I mean, ya don't have to go around wearing a glove full of Vaseline, but for cryin out loud, don't take unnecessary risks! Lol. Your work is art. Artists need to take care of their hands!:p

Not sure where to post, but if we are so to respond the next few days, we are getting some new carpet and will have to unplug our electronics. The house is in shambles. We will still have our phones, but there are certain things I like to do on the desktop for security reasons, so if I don't get back to you quickly, I will try to catch up next week as soon as things are back in order. If you don't hear from me within a week, or it's urgent, please feel free to send me another email. Thanks all!
NinJo ;)
