After more than 5 hrs snowmachining the last 4 miles to my cabin (got stuck multiple times)- I was cold and wet when I got here and it was 12 degrees inside. Despite having pretty good fire-starting ability, I cheated and loaded the wood stove and used a torch to get it going🤣 Nothing like getting warm/dry clothes after fighting snow.

When you’re stubborn and cheap, cuz ya gotta save the money for expensive toys 🤣

So the regular super glue didn’t hold for long (cheapest option).

Let’s see how the Vetbond does. I’ll hang on to the expensive little tubes of Dermabond for something that actually merits it.

When your son borrowed your six foot step ladder and you have to use a frikken eight foot ladder in a room with an eight foot ceiling to change out two frikkin light fixtures. Just navigating the furniture and doorways with an eight foot ladder is a pain. What a PITA!!! Man, as grumpy as I am now, I feel like going on about all the other crap that is pissing me off, but I should probably stop, before I cross any lines. Well, one more🤣, the %#!! fixture mounting holes were different than the ceiling boxes (no I did not buy the fixtures), so I had to modify them. On the “brighter” side - I used my head mounted Fenix HM71R for the first time, and it was great. I mounted the fixtures with no other lights on in the rooms. Hell, I was walking out into the dark garage to get tools without turning the lights on. That was very satisfying. Now I can go take that long, hot, shower (TMI?), that I was going to take after dinner, before the fixture episode came up.

I've got the same headlamp and had to use it in a very similar way before Christmas. Hanging two ceiling fans in the dark from an 8' ladder ... but I had it easywith 9' ceiings. And I can verify ... swearing was heard. :D

That comes under the category of, “The joys of home ownership.”

Ah, yes, I can relate - swearing was definitely heard. 🤣 It is truly a useful headlamp.
You guys.... do you really need a headlamp to help you swear?

My swears come from the rage and emotional anguish society forces me to ball up and store deeeeeep within my persona so as not to violently explode upon unsuspecting and undeserving sasquatches.

Swearing is easy.

Morning E. / Blues Blues - yesterday somebody suggested you could be Gandolf. Kind of made sense … how about a new avatar ? :)
