It doesn't and won't work that way. Just because there's no sticker on the windshield. Doesn't mean traffic laws don't apply.

One of the easiest ways to pull someone over is an expired inspection sticker. Instant excuse, probable cause. Now, the police will be the inspectors. Don't need the sticker.

Texas isn't going to allow junk on the highway.
 
You know, there's talk of seceding from the USA. Aka, the Union government.

My distant relatives (1830) didn't migrate to the US.

German settlers to, The Republic of Texas. We didn't choose America, America chose us.


Lots of history don't follow the same lines.


Not too long ago. We got a gold depository. Our own power grid for a awhile. Ocean access.

My father's parents are polish immigrants and my father met my mother during Vietnam while stationed in Korea

My grandfather served in WWII


I also agree lots of history doesn't follow the same lines
 
Hey, I'm A big fan of watching things burn.

I don't own a cellphone going on 12 years. I watch movies. Refuse to watch anything news. Getting opinions of a world view. Through less then mainstream websites. Using an Amazon tablet.

It's not what's on the news. It's how it effects people.


2024 is going to interesting.

An inspection is more than just a windshield. Btw I spent about 20 yrs in TX and my brother is retired LEO from there and I was a Reserve PO as well so I think you missed my point.

It's not that. It's the belief it's some kind of being able to skirt the law. More power to the police under the assumption it's more freedom.

Texas also isn't given up on the enforcement money. Farmed from such things.


I'm not buying an inspection sticker until 2025.

As I said it is more than about a windshield. It is generally about safety even if you don’t like paying for it. We can disagree. You do you.

Have you noticed vehicle prices? Where they use to be $40,000. It's not $60,000 plus. Easily pushing $90,000. 10% Interest for 7 years.

Give it time. People are going to be stretching things like it's Cuba.
