I've got 3 high end audio set ups w/multiple LP turntables phono preamps, CD transports, DACS & players, audio preamps & amps.

So, I collect AV gear the same way I collect LPs, CDs & DVDs.

Same here. I jumped into high end audio right after I started getting monetary gifts from my wedding.

I'm not surprised that a bunch of knife collectors also have other multiple expensive hobbies.

I spent 14 years working in the audio business, doing everything from mid-fi salesman to repair technician to, finally, several years at Jeff Rowland Design Group beginning as production technician and moving up to technical and customer service. I owned lots of exotic equipment over those years but the only things high end I own now are speakers and cables; Paragon Regents with various XLO, Discovery and Cardas cables.
